What's Wrong With Mother's Day? I Forgot.
by Swan inokay, maybe i'm getting old or maybe it's because i have been an exjw for going on 10 years now, but i can't remember what's up with jws and mother's day.
i remember my mother going with another sister to my brother's classroom for some mother's day pageant back in the 60's when we lived in alaska.
there is also a commandment in the bible about "honor your father and your mother.

Acts 15
by ffeidrik inplease i need a help.. i translated into estonian some interesting articles about jw blood transfusion ban and also alternative explanations about acts 15. yet, when i discussed these things with christians among different denominations i found that many of them do not agree with the view that the decision of apostles and elders in acts 15 was made because of the tensions between judea- and gentile christians.
they think that it was the universal law which is obligatory to all christians even in our days.. .
so, do you have any information about how most christian denominations and churches or most respected theologians view acts 15?

JW not unique
by ffeidrik inrecently somebody posted here something about cooneyites.
i made a little research and was amazed how similar cooneyites are to jw's.
they do not believe trinity, they think they are unique and only true christians because of they preaching method, they shun their "apostates", they have obligatory meetings, even 3 conventions every year, they do not celebrate christmas, they even predicted that world will end august 1914 etc.. of course they have some differences too - they believe in hell, they do not preach jehovah's name .... and then there are christadelphians who do not believe trinity, the hell ... also quite similar to jw's.

69 weeks
by ffeidrik inyes that's the old and probably not very interesting topic .... i can't think otherwise that when dan 9:25 mentions "the going forth of the word" it means the same thing as 9:23 - "at the start of your (daniel) entreaties a word went forth".. so the going forth of the word did begin about 537 b.c.
the problem is in that in that case 69 weeks or 483 years doesn't lead to anywhere.. so it seems i have 2 options: .
1. daniel was wrong;.
