you are not an apostate. from what I've read you were never a dedicated, baptized Witness of Jehovah.
foundyour way:
i've never had an ephiphany.
moshe:
cakes can be baked again.
in the battle between apologists and apostates, who do you think more often comes around to the other point of view and why?.
imho, apologists (or trolls) are just potential apostates who need a little more time in the oven.
(in other words, they are not fully baked, only "half-baked.

They say persistance pays! Sometimes you may have to ask me things several times :)
The Beth Sarim history isn't the big deal you would like to project. I don't have to ask my PO or CO or anyone else. I am able to read and digest actual words and sentences.
Now maybe you'd like to throw in the UN debacle? DA and DF policies? Shunning?
Please do not trivialize my comments or try to condecend to me again. Thank you :)

Actually, Frank, I happen to be one.
The last thing I'd do is post names on any site.
You talk big .. post your real name :)

I do empathize with people. I do not see people as potential converts. My wish is that all would see the truth and act on it. But it's an individual's choice.
If you knew others who were as unhappy as yourself, that really is sad. I guess we aren't all cut out for the life I've chosen.
Wishing you well .. wherever you go :) (from the heart as well)

Lurkers are curious to see how the other half lives ... a human trait :)
I don't base my 50/50 answer on anything other than what I've personally seen. The ones I speak of definitely did not return for family reasons. They got to see the error of their way and now appreciate the truth more than ever.
Absence does make the heart grow fonder. While some apostates may sin against the Holy Spirit, some find they have just been side tracked for a while.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi never:
So sorry you feel the way you do. I am sad for you.

I read from your first post that you lurked here for a few years.
Did lurking change your mind about the truth or were you already questioning?
And what has convinced you so thoroughly that it isn't the truth?
Just curious.
sorry, wrong thread

Thanks, JH, but I'll probably be one of the odd ones who posts a few times and then disappears.

There is one catagory you've missed.
The lurkers who know the truth and are here for curiosity sake.
When they see the response of an active JW shoot down the false teachings seen here, they are reassured that they have the truth and leave this site.
The odd one will end up posting, usually for a short time, never to be seen here again.
The chances of an apostate turning around are 50/50. The thing is, they know the truth and still deny it.
Any serious JW here won't stay long. If they do, then, yes there is a good chance they will be pulled in.
