Were You Ever a Victim of Jealousy?
by compound complex indear friends,.
despite our noble intentions and the hope that we'll behave ourselves, we are downright human.
i just saw beaches again last night (bought the used tape for four bucks) and was reminded how that evil, green-eyed monster can destroy the best of relationships.

If someone offerred you one wish to change your life ...
by zagor ina lady friend living at my condo asked me the same question today and i had to really think hard.
what would be the one thing that would definitively change everything?!
one thing that would pull all other strings together?

How to open a JWs mind
by jwfacts ini posted a similar article a year ago, but have cut it down by half, so thought it worth posting again for those that are looking for a place to start discussing the fallacy of watchtower doctrine with family.
there is no guaranteed way to open a jw mind.
however, it is generally more effective to avoid discussing doctrine and rather concentrate on the concept that jesus chose the watchtower society as his sole organization in 1919. i hope this may help some of you.

I don't really think anything can open the mind of a true JW

hypnosys experience?
by Hermano inhello everyone, long time lurker, first post.
can you share your experiences with hypnosis?
beyond the yes it worked for me or no it did not work for me, what i am looking for especifically is whether or not it opened you up for demon attacks or demonic activity.

I'm a psychology student, my view on it is that it is not much different than when you are waking up in the morning, sill half sleeping but able to hear voices around you. It is a state between sleep and being awake, nothing else.

So......online dating sites; yay or nay?
by tim hooper inok, all you lovely people,.
so it's been a year now since mrs h and i went our seperate ways, and even though there are people on the boards that i've come to love very much i've started having a tic in one eye whenever i see a presentable lady in real life.
i guess that means that i maybe ready to start looking for some female companionship.. thing is, it''s been over 20 years since i last went on 'the pull', and i'm a bit rusty these days.

I would find it very difficult to fall for someone I've never met. In an email anyone can sound great, one of my firends spends hours thinking what to write to her boyfriend in Canada so of course when someone reads her emails thinks, what an awesome lady ;-). She is not bad but a bit cheky in that sense.
But if you can't meet them and if online is the only way, then at least try getting an email from them every day, that way you will get a feel of them both in their positive and negative light -

My ex called me today
he asks me if this time he can stay
but I said "sure why not, I've got this perfect spot"
I've got this little room outside the house that is free
so you can always be there near me. And bark at passers by
so they can hear you moarning cry and pet you when you are sad
I know you would be glad. Because that is all you want, attention!
or make people feel sorry for you, should I menton.
But no honey I have no hard feelings.
It is just that I already had enough of dealings.
And not only dealings but hittings and beatings.
So now every morning I wake I ask myself 'for goodnes sake, were you crazy?"
how could you marry someone that lazy?
I don't know honey my memory is hazy
Could it be the opium of the cult? Bur right now I'm sober as result
and have become an adult, and you and your religon are nothing but insult. -

Homosexuality - how do you see it now?
by MariAruet inas witnesses we were indoctrinated to frown upon anything even remotely related to homosexuality.
but it is not only, witnesses i'm reading about many fundamentalist religions doing exactly the same.
some of you are christians now, what is your view of homosexuality now?

Evening :-)
Very interesting, well did you know that the word 'gay' was originally used to describe a female prostitue and comes from the old French word 'gai' which meant 'carefree', 'showy' or 'happy'?
