I knew the moment he was no longer around, wish I could turn the time back but I can't. Eventually I ended up with a "decent witness boy" but my heart and mind were always with one that slipped away. It is funny how some decisons come to haunt you years later.

by Sirona inwould you ever use witchcraft?.
do you think witchcraft is dangerous?.
do you think witchcraft is just a set of delusions based on ancient superstition?.

well I don't know daystar, apparently you know the answer by the sound of it, what I do know is that several people that I know of so far have been or are freemasons and scientists at univeristies and it didn't cost them their jobs, but anyway. Look I didn't know so many of you here are into this stuff so I apologise for any hurt feelings. Anyway, I better get going, have lots to do today. Wish you all a good day today ;-)

Is is easier to fade if you are the husband or the wife?
by wings ini hope this brings up the "arrangement of submission" question to you.
as the wife of an unbeliveing husband, you submit to everything except the things that go against your service to jehovah.
as the husband of an unbeliving wife, you are kind and considerate and love her like yourself.

In my experinece if husband leave no problem there but if wife decides to leave that gives husband god-given opportunity to look for a reason to get out of that marriage and find someone else. So any woman who decides to stop being a witness better be ready to be on her own before you can say a kingdom hall.

Sirona, you too seem a bit upset with what I say here, I take it you practice those things so my apology there. Well it is like this with me, my parents were both religious hardcore witnesses, their parents were too, my ex husband was wife bashing maniac who was and still is licking kingdom hall door knob, my younger brother became alchocolic because of not being able to live up to the religious standards so his wife of 5 years left him under the blessing of elders because he was endengering her spirituality. So when it comes to religion do you honestly expect from me to embrace it and understand what it does to people around me? It is a rethorical questions but I guess now you can also understand me before jumping a gun ;-)
What I see on the other side is that my atheist neighbours are quite normal people and their two sons are finishing university one is a lawyer another is an engineer. These kids do not believe in god or gods but are more cultured than anybody's children in my former congregation, and above all else they are rational and very thoughtful, something I'm yet to experience with my bible-bashing relatives.
How about that?

Do you expect perfection in people?
by MariAruet inmany witnesses are perfectionists.
they have this image of what you should be like before they can accept you as a person, but even then you are constantly being judged, so you are never good enough no matter how much you try.
ive been reading posts here for the last few months and have noticed that sometimes people are quite judgmental and even abrasive with each other.

Wow that was beautiful, thank you for sharing that story with me Golf, I bet she loves you to bits, and you deserve it. Unfortunately, in my experience those expecting perfection from others never stop for a moment and think what they are doing to their own health and how they come across to other people. And I bet they then feel how it is really hard to find someone who understands them ;-)

I don't remember who but someone said "Why is it never that nuclear physicist is abducted by aliens but always some nutcase" likewise I wonder why is it that scientists do not embrace those ideas you are talking about if they are so good, after all they are eager to find any new method that works.

Gary, you seem a bit upset with what I said, well I just expressed my own thoughts no offence intended. But hey if you are right those things will one day come back to universities and if not I haven't missed much ;-)

That was good thank you Golf, it agree with the article negative emotions can make you sick physically. Like when you are angry or upset with someone or thinking about their shortcoming it is actually YOU who suffer and not them. I've read somewhere, can't remember where, but article said that negative thinking can become so much part of us that we don't even see it, and that is the whole point because we don't know what we are dealing with we tend to sink even further in our own mudfield of negative thinking. Which then turn people away from us because no one likes to be around someone who is constantly negative or on fault-finding mission.
