it's been six months since my fade - other than a couple of calls from the elders concerned about my meeting attendance, i have been pretty much left alone.. freedom from the organization has given me peace of mind - i don't worry about being ignored by "the friends", i don't have to fake my hours and i don't have to rush to get to the service meeting minutes after getting home from work.. according to jw lore, i should be weeping and gnashing my teeth but i am feeling better by the day.
i still believe in god, still identify with christianity and am still looking for answers to life's questions.
i don't pretend to have the answers but i have the freedom to look for them.. .

even meeting them?......i have quite a few friends here....some i have met...some i have not......but i am really amazed at how well you can get to know and appreciate other people here, without ever having met them in person....i guess the kids with the myspace and facebook etc....are used to it...but i had never even visited any type of online community except for a car or motorcycle question!!!..........

my wife and i learned this week that she is suffering from a large malignant tumor in her sinuses.
the cancer has spread to her lymth nodes and the pet scan indicates a mass on her left lung as well.
the sinus cancer is called sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma.
so very sorry.....

He was telling me that story this morning and in the context of our conversation it was just a story about his youth. 9th grade.
