  Did You Find Many JWs As Being Not Very Intelligent?

  First I would like to say that I agree with so many on this thread. I am from an affluent area in Colorado, and so my witness experience may be different than some.

  Affluence breed’s arrogance, the WTS breeds arrogance, and arrogance can mask itself as intelligence. Be it only a mask, if you are a successful dub, and successful in an affluent economy, if you travel all over the world, have kids (good looking kids) in Bethel, own your own plane and fly it, you flaunt the simple eye doctrines and get by with it because you do everything else perfect. You end up with something like.... "Everybody wants to be me". Yes, I think these people have some form of intelligence, however I think it is channeled into some sort of narcissism and eventually becomes unpalatable for the likes of the real world.

  ..Armageddon Day..

  as most of you know..armageddon will soon be here..and..the "new system" will be in place.....there will be plenty of dead people to clean up..but..you`ll be able to pet lions and talk to blueberrys!...........everyone has been waiting for armageddon..won`t that day be a day of celebration?!

  !........just an idea...we could use the dead,as part of the celebration!..you can put one in your living room,put lights and tinsel on it and presents under it for the whole family!

  How about having the cleanest house, nicest yard, cleanest, shiniest car, best behaved kids, keeping said kids from making pumpkins, christmas trees at school? Dodging the questions about holidays, etc. from friends and family.

  Breaking the hearts of the cherub children who come to your door asking if your cherub children can come out to play.

  FHN, stop, I can't take it anymore.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  Today I am internally scared and empty like most days lately. I am avoiding my real issues by spending too much time on the computer. I wonder if other are professional avoiders, like me, on JWD. Thinking about starting a thread about it. Then I think, maybe tomorrow. I am a true procrastinist, an artist. Too bad there isn't any positive recognition for such talent.

  I will take my mother on another walk today. The weather is beautiful, and I truly enjoy our walks. If it hadn't been for her stroke last week, which took her ability to talk away, I would never be able to walk with her. I have to push her in a wheelchair, and she would never put up with that, but now she has no choice. I am in charge. She is in diapers. Strange turn of events in just one week.

  I found my Dad's slippers, he is not here to wear them. I miss him. I will deal with that later also. Move forward, someday soon I will begin to deal with the empty space he left. For now, I will just step around it.

  Enjoy the day, just enjoy the day.

  Coincidences....

  i love a good coincidence.

  it is the closest i get to the supernatural these days.

  how about this one.. a couple of days ago i was working from my home office and while doing so was listening to a bbc radio 7 re-run of the 1960's radio comedy, "i am sorry i will read that again", with john cleese etc.

  i have hated the term fds for years....gives me the heebie jeebies.

  however, i think i am ready for one, and since the pearly gates are open for business again, there should be plenty around.

  if they are our slave, why the heck do we have to do all the work?

  Oh contrair wings, you have missed the new light of last march or may I believe. Recruiting stations are now open all over the world for new flyers. This thing just can't keep running with just a bunch of old white guys....so now we can have hot latin or asain lady slaves!.............................................oompa

  That stinkin new light...just can't keep up with it. FYI not what I read on another thread today, heard it was closed last week, do you think some hot latin or asain lady slaves snuck in before the door closed?. I could use a handy man, don't need my clutch fixed, but someone who would leave me alone and just fix things and lift heavy boxes. I could use some help with the move. If you get the process figured out, could you link me to an application? I do agree we need to get this thing turned around. The world might just start spinning the right way again.

  This thread has been so hard for me to read. Guess, I'm not quite ready to go down memory lane yet. I'll read a few words, then have to get up and walk around and get my breathing back to normal. Keep busy in the work of the lord....what a bunch of crap. I can't believe I ever put my kids through that.

  I will add to this for my own comic relief. We always had a case of BMS going around. Before Meeting Syndrome. The symptoms varied, headache, stomach ache, dizziness, fever...during the last years I began to catch it.

  This morning early I went outside to enjoy the morning sounds of spring. As I was trying to figure out how a cloud formation could look like a wave going back on the beach, I heard the sound of geese coming up from the south. As they flew over me, flying low mind you, they formed a perfect V. AND, like there could be more, no poop! That has got to mean something.

  Isn't the FDS a bunch of old men? A hot young slave is probably not going to happen oompa, sorry to have to tell you.
