i was when i found this place.. this place, jwd, didn't change that.. i knew that so many things were wrong with the organization.
i was an elder.

That's the look I always get when I explain the REAL teachnings of JW's.
I have an advantage in that practically everyone in my community knows me.
They will often come and ask me about the JW's and why they don't see me in service anymore.
Needless to say, I give them a fine "witness."!!!

i'm not one much for prayer these days, but friends from chicago who do are holding a prayer vigil in chicago on september 19th.
they asked me to spread the word about this event.
i detest injustice - whether its from the wts or any other source, especially racially motived injustice!!!!!!!!

Yes, indeed. The only difference now is that the attention of the whole world can be focused on these cases. I find it amazing how quickly "officials" will back down when they are faced with the glare of public scrutiny. It's an unfortunate situation for all concerned, but no particular group should have to bear the brunt of a dysfunctional society's ills.

a very reputable documentary film producer would like to talk to a woman between 19-25 years old who is taking legal action in order to vindicate child sex crimes perpetrated against her and covered up by the wt society or their elders.
specifically, the "cover up," as in not reporting the crime to secular authority, should have occurred after 2002 in canada or us.

how do you see evil in general?
recently a book i came across people of the lie by a well known psychologist m. scott peck discussed evil and evil in some of his patients.
to him any harm whatsoever inflicted on another person is evil and a mental illness that can be cured.

the wt always put a lot of importance on the subject that jesus was not born the 25 of dec. now my question is why is there two different stories in the bible about jesus birth?
in luke 2 there is one story and in matthew there is an other.
in luke it says that jesus was born during a census when quirinius was governing syria but in matthew it says that he was born when herod the great was still alive.

Fulness from the KJV translated from Greek word pleroma denoting a set limit. The Father has those limits in His jurisdiction so it does us no good to quibble about dates, times, and seasons. See Acts 1:6. Just to set the record straight, even before becoming a JW, I never bought into the Christmas story. Thank you.
