Just left my sister who is definitely still in. She was scheduled to go on a Bethel tour this summer, but she said it was canceled. She stated that apparently not enough interest was shown.
Anyone else hear of something like this?

i hear about this site just over two weeks ago and since then it has been the first site i visit when logging on.
i can't believe google has been relegated to second.. is my behaviour typical?.
mtsgrad.
Yes, it is. Next is Daily Bible Study - Church of God - Simcoe Server.
I like it here because nobody tries to tell you how you should think or feel.

i don't.
it's not that i won't.
funny thing, is i've collected over 100 different bible versions and translations..
I meant contrast that with the WTS

Tried to edit, but couldn't.

just curious.
are some of them a personal photo?
ones that are not, why did you choose them?.
Snowbird is one of my childhood nicknames. My nine-year old granddaughter found the picture in her folder and I liked it so ... there it is.

Blondie,
I was just about to correct the redoubtable minimus, but you beat me to it. See, at one time I had an eidetic memory, and when Commentary on the Letter of James came up, Ed Dunlap sprang immediately to mind.
I still read the Bible, only with no WTS filters. One example is John 12:47. Here our Lord is saying plainly that if anyone hears His words and doesn't obey them, He is not going to judge that person.
Control that with the WTS who demands total acquiescence.

Another Kentucky word is "Kyarn". My grandma used to say, come in and wash your hands, you are fithier than Kyarn. I believe this word has its roots in the old british isles.
My grandmother used to say something similar. I think they meant this: carrion (rotting or decaying flesh) an old Anglo-Saxon word. Incidentally, she lived to be 104. She was born 1883 and died 1987. Could not stand the Witnesses. Wonder why?

hello, i needed to ask you a question about the grading system for ib.
when a student was taking honor's classes or if a student was taking ib classes the grading system didn't reflect this.
therefore, you could have an honor's or ib student taking physics for instance who is making a "c" in the class and then you could have a regular student taking pre-algebra who's making an "a".
Morning, McD,
Thanks for the pics. I attended my grandson's graduation to middle school on yesterday. He looked so tall and handsome that I cried thru the whole ceremony.
I began taking care of him when he was only two weeks old. His mother and father split up, and guess who was there for him? You guessed correctly. He lives with his dad now, and he seems to be doing just peachy. I have six grandkids and tried taking them with me to the meetings. They all hated it!!! If we only listen, children can tell us something.

apologies if you all have read this before.. watchtower 1952 15th april pages 254-256. it is the woman that is commanded to show respect and recognition of the mans position of headship, and women who rebel at it are not so much rebelling against men as they are against god.gen.
3:16; 1 cor.
11:2-10; eph.
This is a carry-over from the Rutherford era. In fact, it is almost a word-for-word parrot of one of his books in which, according to Rutherford, if a man removes his hat, opens a door, pulls out a chair for a woman, he is subtly engaging in creature worship!!!
I think the man Rutherford hated God, women, babies, and anyone or anything else.
That having been said, is anyone on this board from A-L-A-B-A-M-A?

MsMcD, You asked: Do you follow me? Did they ever get this corrected?
Will have to check into this. Not to boast, but my child made all A's in every subject. I do know there have been complaints about the IB fostering elitism. I don't know about that, but the program was the best fit for my child.
See ya

i am sooooo freaked about this.
i just know im gonna blubber through the whole thing.
i went to senior awards night last night where he was given his scholarship and every time they said the class of 2007!!
To Lovesdubs,
I am sorry, too, for going on about my child. I just get so carried away at times. I finally have someone to "talk" to and I don't know how to act. I'm so proud and happy for your son. Yes, the years fly by, and before we know it, they are looking us eye-to-eye.
I was a member of the class of 1971, met the Witnesses in 1972, baptized in 1974. I don't count them as wasted years. It was a learning experience that I plan on using to help others.
