I've been talking to an out-of-town fleshly sister (love WTS speak) about this forum.
She told her daughter about it, and now her daughter has registered. Her user name is Canary. When she's ready, she'll tell you a little about herself. For now, she's content with just browsing and digesting.

Another fairly recent change just came to mind to add to the list I made before of all the puzzling recent changes, and that is that you no longer need to write a letter to disassociate yourself, just by not being irregular at meetings or service they have the right to call you disassociated.
Sincerely,
Lady Liberty
If that's the case, then I am disassociated. I haven't set foot in a KH since 2005. I have no intention of ever going back. The lack of love, gossip, wicked suspicions, jealousy, judgmental attitudes, etc., all contributed to my leaving.
When my daughter decides that she has had enough already, that will be Oh Happy Day!

GOOD GOD!! WHY ARE THERE SO MANY.......????
by Terry in....spelling errors on the topic headers?.
how much effort does it take to check your spelling before you post a topic??.
just read over some of the topics up for discussion right now and you'll see a very shocking (to me, at least) disregard for accuracy.. if you can't trouble yourself to get your spelling right how are the rest of us going to respect the fact you have your reasoning right either??.

You mean, like playing the Werewolf game?
LOL!!! Kicking butts and taking names, aren't you Terry?
I, too, was a spelling champion in my school. I thought I was big and bad until I ventured into uncharted territory. I was soundly trounced, and had to return and lick my wounds. That experience taught me something; to wit, no matter how well you think you can do something, there is always someone who can do it better than you.

The Story of Mr. & Mrs. Flipper
by flipper init was requested of someone on the board via pm to tell our story.
i'll try to keep it brief, for me that's hard.
mrs. flipper was raised catholic and got out when she was 12 because the nuns and cathlolic school teachers didn't like her independent thinking mind.

To Mr. & Mrs. Flipper,
Thank you for such a candid story. Isn't it amazing how that Organization can ruin lives?
My 18-year old is having less and less to do with me since I walked in 2005. It hurts, but what can I do? Like you, I hate injustices of any sort, and I couldn't in good faith go along with what I saw happening in the JW's.
I thank our Savior that there is a place such as this board where we can speak freely of the heartache and pain we've experienced.
Yours on the journey of liberation,

36,350 of Jehovah's angels could bring an end to the old system
by Gopher inthe world's population at this moment is approximately 6,731,780,000. http://www.ibiblio.org/lunarbin/worldpop.
one angel can execute at least 185,000 humans overnight, according to the bible's account of jehovah wiping out the assyrian army in ancient times.. so take the total 6,731,780,000 and subtract 7 million faithful watchtower adherents, and you are left with 6,724,780,000 non witnesses worthy of everlasting destruction.
divide those 6,724,780,000 humans by 185,000 that 1 angel could take out, and you get 36,350 - the number of angels necessary for complete annihilation.. since there are, as per the bible account, 100 million angels -- less than one-tenth of one percent of all the angels would be needed for this merciful judgment of jehovah's execution.

Snowbird - sounds like cognitive dissonance, doesn't it?
It was cognitive dissonance. I exited stage left. Next will be my golden child.

This is "the truth" according to people who teach that you must adhere to their organization, or go screaming / crying into a violent death. This is the reality of what is taught in their literature and from their platforms.
Yes, it is the GOOD news of the Kingdom
I know, I know. That's why I used to have panic attacks at the KH. I know a lot of decent, kind folks who would put some JW's to shame. On the other hand, I know some JW's who aren't worth the salt that goes into their bread. How could a loving God simply kill people because they didn't listen to a few remarks from a JW? It just didn't add up.

Aren't you looking forward to seeing Jehovah's heavenly organization in action, causing widespread death and destruction, with people of all ages falling into earth's deep crevasses?
No. I'm looking forward to Messiah's touchdown on the Mount of Olives which is toward the east of Jerusalem as per Zechariah 14 and Acts 1.
Peace out.
