  Billions of Lives Depend On This?

  the greatest work of all time, never to be repeated, is supposedly done by jehovah's witnesses.

  of course you know i'm referring to the door to door work they take part in.

  so many lives are at stake and your life is dependent on if you "accept the good news" that they preach.. i surely don't believe this anymore.

  I spent many a sleepless night agonizing over the fate of the billions that I knew would never be reached with the WTS version of the "good news." I also spent a lot of time in FS trying to get people to see the need to get into that Ark of Salvation. What a waste!!!

  Along comes 1995 and the Society announces that the preaching work is not a separating of the sheep and goats as we originally thought. That was really disturbing. Also, the generation that saw the sign in 1914 would indeed pass away. THAT didn't bother me as much because I never believed it in the first place.

  All those changes are the reason why some JW's are so lackluster about preaching. Francis of Assisi is reported to have said it best - "Preach the gospel, sometimes use words."

  ok, slowly awakening and fading at the same time for two years now, and did not plan it.

  i tell my wife last night i have been having some interesting e-mails with my dad about the qb from the sept km we are to study this week.

  she says she has read it, but does not remember it.

  I feel for you, oompa. You said:

  My now 18 year-old daughter has been going alone since 2005. I used to get a hollow feeling when she would leave the house, but I knew that I had to be true to my convictions. I am convinced the WTS is a crooked, deceitful organization. To continue to support it in any way just because I felt sorry for my baby girl would have been the ultimate hypocrisy. I'm sure one day she will thank me for it.

  just thought of starting this thread because of the problem of living in an emotionally disconnected society as we do.

  some of us have shared our personal stories with you all, my wife and mine was , " the story of mr. & mrs. flipper ".

  i think it would be good to share some insight into ourselves , then perhaps others on the board will be understanding more deeply about posts that we start.

  What is concept of worship? Why would God want it so bad? I don't get it.

  that pretty much says it all, but i just dont get why god so craves worship.

  what is he really getting out of it???

  but he wants it so much that if he can't get it, he will whack you out forever.. never felt like worshiping god but say thanks for great sunsets.....oompa.

  The true dimension of the WTS

  for those that still have doubts about the true nature of the wts organisation, its leaders and r&f and who think that this organisation has a supreme status through being hand picked by god as his sole organisation on earth: .

  far from the gb being a group of god appointed saintly elite over an angelic jw society they are group of despicable ever scheming devious men directing a vast and nasty network of jw communities of venomous sneaky vermin which with their poisonous fangs will suck the life out of anyone that gets caught in their cultic spider web of deception and just as with some poisonous spiders you may not realise that you got bitten until well after the fact.

  jw sainthood, what a joke, it is as real as easter bunny.

  The entire Watchtower system has it set up to prevent outside research. Take your average JW...........they work a 40+ hour work week, they have children to care for, they have other absolutely necessary responsibilites, and they need recreation. Add that with the fact that they're hounded to making 5 meetings a week, go do door to door magazine sales field service, prepare for meetings, prepare for field service(most don't but some do), and doing family studies, your averaged JW just won't have to to do the research.

  That was my regimen when I was in. Do, do, do ... go, go, go. Stay on that treadmill of "spiritual activities." Never let go of that "chariot." Until I stopped cold turkey. Once, I was reading a translation of the Bible in which our Lord's words were in red. It was the 9th chapter of Acts where He ordered Ananias to find the Apostle Paul and open Paul's eyes. That was my epiphany, my transformation from slave of the WT to slave of Christ. I saw that Jesus Christ is directing Christians; He hasn't appointed anyone to speak for Him. The so-called FDS is just a figment of the Society's imagination. I am through with them. They have no hold on me anymore.
