Thanks to all who replied. BFD, I last took Nyquil 30 years ago. I hallucinated like it was no tomorrow; I saw fluorescent butterflies all over my bedroom walls. I tried to escape from them by hiding underneath the bed. It was an experience I don't care to repeat, I tell you.

also when i was in nashville in the motel i was watching cnn and they mentioned that a local church that the mccanns had visited was being searched for evidence, would this happen to be a kingdom hall?

Without God, the universe would be perfect by definition. In that circumstance, all people would be able to live their lives without interference; and have few obstacles to the goal of having a genuine and honest life. Most people would be happy, and wouldn't you like to be a part of that?

ok, so i went to nashville this past week for the exodus international southeast regional freedom conference.. .
i went with the intention of making some friends with local people from my area of tennessee.. .
the conference started thursday and it was much larger than i expected.
Well hey, Junction-Guy. I'm glad your trip turned out so wonderful. It was I who hoped it would be "edifying." It is so good that we can talk openly about issues here and receive encouragement and support.
I'm thinking of going to a meet-up with former JW's in Montgomery this coming December. It will be the first time I step out of my comfort zone and actually acknowledge that my Witness days are done. I still am hesitant about using the word apostate. Isn't WTS conditioning something else?

my mother-in-law had surgery recently and when ever she does go through medical issues, it brings up something i wonder about.
you see, i think the man or husband, in the relationship needs to be strong at those moments.
to be the person who people can look to for updated information, perhaps to be the pillar of strength to keep everyone calm in a rough situation and so on.
A man with confidence is an attractive man, even if it's accompanied by abuse.Am I seeing what I am seeing?
