Someone anonymously tipped the elders?

so here an update on my current situation, in a nutshell i've been trying to quietly fade for the past 5 months.. well, my mom somehow found out that i am currently fading and that i live with my boyfriend (for more info on this check my previous posts) i told her yes i live with him and yes i no longer want to be a jw.

anyways, yesterday she met my boyfriend.. awkward.

and after lunch she pulled me aside to tell me that the po came up to her (he was part of my jc when i was reproved) he said to her "someone came to me and said - i cannot say who so they will remain anonymous- but that your daughter is living with someone" my mom confirmed and apparently he told her that i have one week to confess this, and if i don't my parents are obligated to tell them everything.. what kind of nonsense is that?

Raven, I assume that you do not want to be disfellowshiped otherwise, you wouldn't have tried to fade out. And I also assume that you are not intending to go back. Hence, I would seriously consider the idea of simply lying to them. Its much easier than you may think. And considering that these man are presently in hot pursuit of you for the sole purpose of taking your family away from you, I believe it is 100% justified.

If you tell them that you are married, they may go back to your mom and ask her. If she tells the truth, you can tell them that you hadn't told her since you felt bad about not inviting her and the fact you got married on a spur of the moment.

Than, anyone who meets you in the street will think that you are with your husband even if you left your current boyfriend and find another! And if they talk about you not living with him any more? Well, you're separated. And if they do realize you`re not with the same man? Well, the bastard cheated on you and you remarried!!

Much much more easier than the "letter from my lawyer" route. Once again, people who want to take you away from your own family deserve no respect at all.

Just tell them that you're indeed with him and that you are married. Case closed.

for me, i have only purchased just one powerball ticket in my life, that was few years ago and i am thinking about buying some more in the near future.

maybe i should push my luck even more this time.

i am going to buy 10 tickets.

This obviously is contrary to the Bible’s counsel that a Christian should “do hard work, doing with his hands what is good work, that he may have something to distribute to someone in need.” (Ephesians 4:28) And the apostle Paul specifically stated: “If anyone does not want to work, neither let him eat.” He added: “They should eat food they themselves earn.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10, 12) But might gambling be considered legitimate work?

Today, WT forgot about those words. they built Bethels that need to be sustained by donations and distribute next to nothing to the ones in need. Paul here was bragging about sustaining himself.

So, the argument they used to condemn Gambling is actually condemning them.

I buy one or two per month.To be honest, I see it as a type of charity. One that allows millions, including myself, the right to dream of "what if". And every time someone wins, I am happy I could be part in giving one person and his family the possibility of being financially independent. Having the ability for a no body to suddenly be part of the 1%.

The odd thing is, I still don't believe it to be wrong even by WT definition as I don't trust an imaginary force. I don't see how this could be considered coveting.

And yes, I will go to the casino once in a blue moon, however, than again, I have a set budget and never exceed it. To me, this is entertainment that is a little more expensive than spending an evening at the theatre.

I'm not promoting gambling, for many, it can become a problem that ultimately leads to poor quality of life and even death. But so does over eating. We need balance.

did you have a jw wedding or something different?

my wedding was not what either of us wanted at first, but it turned out very lovely.

We got married at the kingdom hall and got a really good talk. Some of my "worldly" family still talk about that. In and out, we had a good wedding. Still, I regret one thing: I invited 150 JWs and 150 family members. Because of all the JWs, I could not invite 2 very close family members who were disfellowshiped. If I could turn back time, I would have a smaller wedding with family only and forget about the 150 JWs that don't even keep in touch with me today.

I'm getting tired of how condescending they are with others. You cannot say that Jehovah's Witnesses are unique because they don't cancel unlike "SOME" others. This means that most people do show up and don't cancel, making JW like most people; not the exception. They're not the best, they just keep repeating it to themselves over and over until they take it for granted.

Anyways... just thought I'd share this.

you brothers who gave talks do you thinks about the crap you spoke from the platform.. thirty years old, no knowledge what so ever of the world we live in, barely making the grade.

to graduate from high school, a year and half in jc college and now with schooling of jw higher.

I don't have a problem with this article. If they are evenly condemning heterosexuals who have sex outside of marriage in the same way they do condemn the gays who have sex, than, I don't see a problem: They hate a lot of people evenly without discrimination. That is not the feeling I had from the kid's video though... they focused on the gays without even making a difference between being gay and acting on your sexual impulses.

That being said, I don't believe sex outside of marriage and neither do I condemn practising gays. As long as everything is mutual, responsible and mindful of the various risks involved, then, its all good. Yeah, Baby Yeah! (Austin Power)
