  my best friend showed up where i work to see what's going on with me.

  i haven't called her since she told an elder at my hall that i was falling out of the truth, little does she know i've fallen and i don't want to get up.. i told her i had now done my research and i absolutely don't believe it.

  she said she didn't want to hear my apostate stuff.

  If you have any family or friends that you care ANYTHING about, that are still in, DO NOT MEET WITH THESE WINDBAGS!!!!!!

  DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY ARE ANY DIFFERENT!!! Most of us have been there, done that, some assumed that their family was "different" and had unconditional love, and would still talk, guess what, they were usually wrong. As soon as I got DF'd, my family dropped me like a hot potato, friends that I'd had for years no longer speak, email or call. I tried to "reason" with a couple of really good friends, and they don't do anything except go into this weird "shut down" mode. They turn off their ears and don't listen, all they do is sit there with a hateful, glazed look in their eyes and think "apostate".

  If you have no one that you give a damn about in the Borg, don't do it. Even if you don't and you're just a single person in the Borg with no friends, why waste your time??? Seriously, I know I have better stuff to do with my time, like watching the grass grow, watching paint dry, running my hand over a cheese grater, chewing on tin foil or picking belly button lint.

  You won't make them think, you will actually strengthen their faith, its a sick, viscious circle but its true.

  Back many moons ago when I used EMG active pickups, if the battery was weak at all, this the sound I'd get. However I also must say that SS Crate amps usually find their way to the junk yard sooner or later.

  May I recommend a different guitar and amp all together? Perhaps a used Epi Les Paul or a used Mexican strat into a like a used tube amp??? Much simpler set up, more reliable setup and it'll sound better too. I know everyone starts somewhere, but after a while its always time to upgrade. I've been through more gear than I care to mention, but have finally settled on Victoria amps, Heritage guitars for straight playing and Danelectros for slide

  How do you deal with this feeling of emptiness?

  this feeling that you have seen it all, that there's nothing more in the universe to live for.... i know that it is rubbish, i know it's related to post-exit syndrome.... but how do you deal with it now?.

  it's just so ridiculous to have the feeling that you're life is over at 19... but i can't help it.. help me!.

  Hey Deus,

  By UNI do you mean university or University of Northern Iowa? I'm asking because, UNI isn't a terrible distance from me, and I could introduce you to all kinds of social life. But college in general is a great place to meet friends that you'll have the rest of your life. I met most of my core group at college, then later a few more at work places.

  Trust me, life is totally just starting at 19. And I know where you're coming from about your mind working OT, and sometimes seeming like a runaway train. I have to take meds, to keep mine under control, otherwise it gets out of hand and I can't even sleep. Honestly if you have that kind of restless thought and anxiety, tell your doctor, its worked wonders for me.

  When did we stop being customers and start being consumers?

  i really hate the word "consumer" - i see it all the time, in reports, business news, the markets.. consumers aren't consuming, they aren't spending.. a consumer sounds like some brainless automaton whose sole purpose is, well, to consume.

  in the old days we were customers who made purchases - now we just consume.. does anyone else feel the same way?.

  We became consumers when all we cared about was price, and we drove the mom and pops out of business. In favor of big corporations, like Walmart, Guitar Center, Best Buy, etc. Then now, we are shopping for everything online to save even more money, because now we can eliminate jobs, of those store clerks that used to help us.

  Price is important, BUT, service has always out weighed it in the grand scheme of things. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Every time we choose Walmart or large corp. over a local store, we feed the beast of consumerism.

  that im having another baby!!!!!.

  just done the test and the line came up straight away....... we were planning on falling pregnant in about three months and happend to fall pregnant straight away...im still in shock but had to share it with you all my family.

  A woman in my former congo was DF'd 4 times, and last I knew was working on another re-instatement bid. At one point she married one brother and cheated with his brother, then married him, cheated again, with someone else, and then yet again with some worldly dude. I think she had something like 5 husbands.

  In my family, there are 5 DF'd ones, and one unbaptized fade. Two second cousins, my mom, my step aunt and myself are all DF'd. One cousin has been DF'd twice now. The others just all are never going back, including myself.

  Whiskey and coke - meaning Jack Daniels old no. 7 with Coca-cola from a can. NOT Beam and Pepsi!!! God I hate when bartenders screw up such a basic drink!!! Gentleman Jack is also acceptable, and on occasion I also enjoy Crown Royal, though its a bit sweet. The 1954 recipe Jack in the fancy bottle is EXCELLENT!!!!

  Bourbons - ah yes, my passion. A little ice in a glass and 3 fingers of Makers Mark or Woodford's Reserve

  Another one that ain't bad if you're on a budget is Evan Williams, and actually Ten High and Squirt is pretty damn good. I'd like to try old Grandad and George Dickel's to see what the fuss is all about with those.

  Makers is my favorite these days, but I cook with a lot of Jack. The new homegrown "Templeton Rye" whiskey is excellent, but its unobtainable right now, its been sold out for almost a year.

  Well I started having to shave when I was 11, by the time I was 13 I could grow a full beard easily, but being a good little dub I didn't. Whenever I'd not go to meetings I wouldn't shave. Later in life at about 15 I grew mutton chop sideburns, and kept them to the bottom of my ear lobes. By 18 the mutton chops had extended down to my jaw line, and were wide, fat and thick, they looked GOOD!!! I caught all kinds of grief from elders and my step mom, but I didn't care, because I still had priviledges until my first JC meeting for another offense. I kept the mutton chops only occasionally shaving them up a little. As of February of this year I started growing a "circle beard", I really love it, and it thins out my face considerably. Now that winter will soon be kicking around, I'll be attaching my sideburns to the circle beard, to grow out a full winter beard.

  Nothing sucked worse than being a farm kid and doing chores in the bitter cold with NO FACIAL HAIR!!! Our faces got chapped BAD
