There were so many other things going on in life that had me depressed at the time that I realized it wasn't "The Truth". I'd have to say that realizing that was one of the bright lights in all that I was dealing with.

Taking predictions for the 2007 memorial partakers!!
by cultswatter ini'm doing this well in advance so that all the wonderful people on jwd can look back later and see just how close they were to the actual number!
(it is possible the wts might stop publishing the partaker numbers) in a few days, i will duly record the link to this thread for future reference.. remember that there were 8524 partakers in 2005 and 8758 partakers in 2006, an increase of 234 partakers.
so how many remnant will partake in 2007??.

The Very Peculiar Fear of Satan
by R.F. inas we know, jws tend to have a very strong fear of satan.
after thinking back, i can't believe the extent to which the concept of satan has gripped many jws with fear.. for instance, there was a member of my congregation whose feelings i hurt unintentionally.
i still believe that if they would've stopped and thought about it that i meant no harm, but since they were hurt i apologized.

Thanks Snakes.
Keep the JW R&F happy with the high of a future (always future carrot in front of them) paradise and you have them right where you want them.
The internet has created a way out for people to somewhat privately search for real answers. I dont think there are real answers to life's existence but the JW answers are not answers at all.
So true. Keep something in front of them that will take all of their problems away, while at the same time keeping them locked so tightly in the JW coccoon by instilling a fear of the outside to them.
You also mentioned the importance of the internet here. I personally believe that the internet will be seen as the biggest thread by the WTS thus leading them to an outright banning of it.....not an official ban however but by more mind numbing as to the "dangers" of the internet. They will make it to the point that a JW would view it as something unneccessary to use since they would be beaten over the head about the issue and be "displeasing Jehovah" by not listening to the "Slave".
That's why I use the term dangerous alot more now when referring to the organization. They accuse Satan, but they are the very evil they preach against.

The true dimension of the WTS
by greendawn infor those that still have doubts about the true nature of the wts organisation, its leaders and r&f and who think that this organisation has a supreme status through being hand picked by god as his sole organisation on earth: .
far from the gb being a group of god appointed saintly elite over an angelic jw society they are group of despicable ever scheming devious men directing a vast and nasty network of jw communities of venomous sneaky vermin which with their poisonous fangs will suck the life out of anyone that gets caught in their cultic spider web of deception and just as with some poisonous spiders you may not realise that you got bitten until well after the fact.
jw sainthood, what a joke, it is as real as easter bunny.

That was my regimen when I was in. Do, do, do ... go, go, go. Stay on that treadmill of "spiritual activities." Never let go of that "chariot." Until I stopped cold turkey. Once, I was reading a translation of the Bible in which our Lord's words were in red. It was the 9th chapter of Acts where He ordered Ananias to find the Apostle Paul and open Paul's eyes. That was my epiphany, my transformation from slave of the WT to slave of Christ. I saw that Jesus Christ is directing Christians; He hasn't appointed anyone to speak for Him. The so-called FDS is just a figment of the Society's imagination. I am through with them. They have no hold on me anymore.
Right before I started posting here I was on the fence about my beliefs as a JW. I read through Acts twice, on the first time though that I read through without the WT blinders I knew that the JW religion was a lie. It's so sad, by the time a JW does all of the mental programming they are still seeing what the WT teaches even if they were to read the Bible alone.

They're the "replacements" of all the anointed that fell away. Oh wait....I forgot.....all of the anointed MIGHT not be filled yet.
DOH!
