hi, i'm poppyr's son.
i was brought up a jehovah's witness and have only very recently lots most of my faith in it.
for years i was in that religion and could never quite make sense of it.

Your mother posted your age in another thread......it's great to see someone at that very young age realizing the truth about the religion. You have your entire life ahead of you now to do worthwhile things. I'm so happy for you.

It is sad to see so many hang on to the religion simply because they're told they must in order to be blessed by God. The Org is actually taking the place of Christ by doing that. It's so simple yet the religion makes it complicated.
I don't mean to thread-hijack, but the thing that made me realize the JWs were being misled was reading through the book of Acts. I read through it twice in one morning. I couldn't see any resemblence between the JWs and first century Christianity.

Climbing the apple tree with my siblings at the place I lived during most of my childhood.
Also, when my ride my bike with my little brother sitting on the handle bars. We would ride to the store down the street to get candy. That was some hard riding, but it was fun.

not me, but i work in an office that has two apartments above the office.
the van pulls up, i look up right into the drivers face and knew i didn't reconize her, or the two women in dresses that got out.
they walked past my door, up the stairs, next to my door.
It sounds like they were trying to pad their field service time.
The thing that gets me is how much they cry about this being a life-saving work yet time-wasting is very prevalent everywhere.
Just maybe.....they didn't view you as worthy enough to be saved by means of their glorious preaching work.

dansk's christmas tree thread got me to thinking .. in this house we do not celebrate since my wife is still a die hard dub.
i have no complaints about that, it was our joint choice for decades and i an the one that changed .but as witnesses we were always given the negative view of the holiday time :-.
"people feel that they just have to do it although they do not really want to".
To be honest, I love things such as the lights, music, the food, etc, but it seems to me that this time of year brings out the absolute worst in many people.
Then again though, i'm just now being able to drop the WT indoctrination, so I always used to "somehow" find reasons to bag on the Christmas season. Maybe that's why it seems that way to me.

i was thinking it might be a good idea to come up with a website like happyexjws.com where we record a short video of ourselves saying we are now happy and briefly explaining why.

Same here. I'm 23 years old but I look like a teenager. It's sad when some think i'm not old enough to have a driver's license. My cheeks make me look ever younger.
so, hello folks.
i have wanted to start this thread for sometime because i was curious if it has happened to any of you often.
in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .
I've only run over a couple of squirrels before. Poor critters.
Be thankful, I knew a guy that was impailed and killed by a deer's antlers coming through the windshield.
I knew someone that this happened to as well. That's why I hate very early morning driving, especially since the area Iive in is very close to a somewhat heavily wooded area.
