by Peppermint ini feel i drink too much and it concerns me sometimes.
i'm not an alcoholic (isn't that what an alcoholic would say?
) and i never drink in large quantities but if i don't have a glass of wine or a good real ale in my hand of an evening i feel disappointed.

Hmmm...this is topic i've really put some thought to lately.
When it comes to myself, I consider myself a loner. I do have my times when I like to party or have friends around but i've realized that much of the time when i'm at my happiest is when i'm alone. I'm certainly not one that needs friends around me all the time.

I'm leaving on a jet plane!
by purplesofa inin a few hours.. to a new life, a new adventure.. thanks to the board for helping me to get to the place i am now in life.. it feels great...it's taken alot of time, thinking, pain, overcoming fears, communication and a good dose of reality.. believe me, .
it's been worth all of it.. hope everyone has a great life.. purps.

OMG!!! I have been crying for the last 2 hours...I just got Pell grant!!!!
by FreedomFrog inpell grant is a federal grant for low income people that wants to go to college but doesn't have that much money to support it.. ok, here's my story.... my ex makes good money...i get divorced but they still use the "last" years tax...meaning, even though i'm not "making" that money anymore "too bad".. i've been in college for 2 1/2 years now, ending my first degree, signing up for my ba.... i was just approved for pell grants and "other" federal assistance for college!!!!!!!!.
i've been after them for 2 years and it's finally arrived.... what does that mean for me????.
my loans won't be 15,000 per degree but rather more like 4,000....i don't have to worry about buying my books anymore.

I enjoyed it all. The meetings, talks, field service......all of it.
I must confess, being very active in all of it then advancing in the org can really stroke the ego of a young guy. It was until the elders started working me to death and complaining that I begun to dread it.

I'm still feeling extremely spontaneous and adventerous, and i'm also feeling very peaceful. I've been feeling this way for quite some time and i'm never felt this much peace before in my life.

hello all, thought i'd fill anyone interested in on what's been going on with me............. well life has been great.
my relationship with my parents is great even though it's been a year since i've severed all jw activities.

Snakes- It truly is good to be getting a real life. I hardly even think about ever being a JW anymore. It's great just being ME.
You'll definitely have to come through for another visit. The fuel prices sure can be a pain though lol.
Bonnie_Clyde- I didn't think i'd be missed. I guess I did read your thoughts. Thank you.
Roller- How's it going guy? You're right, there's so much that life has to offer that we were taught didn't matter. My outlook on life is completely different now that i've been released fromt he WT prison.
Eliveleth- We ended our relationship soon after my first post, and haven't really been on much speaking terms(at my request). Some of my other posts around that time paint more of a picture as to why our relationship went sour.
When it comes to God, there was a time after I was first making my exit from the org that I didn't know what to believe. It was to the point that I had atheistic point of view for some time. Now I have faith in Jesus and i'm continually deepening my trust in Him. I, like you, have found that he is the only way to me having joy and peace in my life.
