  Is there anything wrong with listening to anything the jw's say????s

  i was reading some of the articles my mom brought home and gave to me and i was wondering do the jw's have any good ideas on a good way to live your life.

  i mean do they know anything about how to live and what to do when you have problems.

  i was wondering because i want to know if i can follow any of the info in questions young people ask book or are they wrong and every aspect and should i just never read it again.

  well if becoming a JW protects you from drug abuse immorality, drunkedness, and other life heataches then that is the way to go. Protection comes from applying what we learn, and that seems to be very wise indeed from the YPAsk. So what is slavery, slave to our personal desires that lead to these addictions or wrongs that cause grief or slave to doing what is good in conection to our own bodies and, from the one that knows best Jehovah, other religions condone giving into desires or pleasures that cause diseases and heartache, so what do you want. Everything needs self control and that means following guidlines, sorry but true. So which guidline would you follow.

  The Trinity ( arguement to end all arguments I hope )

  i pretty much don't think much of christendom.

  but why do christians insist on holding such an unholdable position with the trinity.. the bible i agree holds proof for both trinity and nontrinity positions.. i still don't get why that christians other than catholics would hold such an untenable position as god came down to earth but didn't, and he prayed ( talked ) to himself a lot.. .

  i remember a comedy sketch were some kids were stumping a nun in catholic school with question on the trinity and the eurachrist..

  Only Jehovah is said to be ALMIGHTY, the trinity is not an issue with me, and cant understand how anyone could believe in or worship a three headed god, yes they got it right, it is pagan and has nothing to do with the creator, but rather the creation.

  An organisation that doesn't care much

  it is rather obvious that the organisation of the jws the wts does not have love for its members contrary to what they claim that they are the loving organisation of jehovah and are striving for the best interests of those under their direction.

  my position is that they couldn't care less about them as individuals and basically they just want to exploit them.

  there is that sense of coldness hunging in the jw kingdom halls and assemblies.

  well they see you're volunteer work as to Jehovah, and the bill for shipping you're stuff is you're stuff, and is you're responsibility. When I stopped pioneering and left, they asked for all my lititure back as I would get it half price (this was before the gst) so I found that offensive considering I spent 90 hrs a month in field service. I never sent it back.

  field service.

  you get up at 4:30 or 5:00 in the morning to make it to the kingdumb hell at 5:30 in the morning (since that feb 2004 kingdumb misery, they want everyone to meet for street work at this time).

  a quick discussion of the text, misapplying it to fit the misery, and then prayer and we're off.

  the watchtower is always lamenting "ever increasing levels of divorce" etc, especially when they have wt articles about the family.. this article presents some refreshing views that not every married couple is getting divorced.. perhaps the rate of divorce among jehovah's witnesses is the highest since 1970 as it's becoming more and more common to hear about jw spouses breaking up or having affairs.. .

  Not as many are marrying but only living together, many stay together because of economics. There could be other factors, but here in oz the divorce rate has tripled the past few years. Any takers for the increase of crime, or other issues, sure there are heaps to grip about.

  If you're a single sister living on her own and spending Weekends nights alone because you can't associate with the world, not enough brothers anyway most of them are short and nerdy but have a smorgesborge of sisters that are desperate because they can only marry in the Lord. Phew...clicky groups of familys, wives hanging onto their hubbies whenever you approach in fear that you want to steal their bespeckled over weight religiously fearful of the friendly single sister. Or the bitchy sisters that display and over effectionate attitudes during the song, talk and pray, hanging onto hubby like he is the holy grail. God help me.

  We had a problem about ten years ago within our congregation, a few of the children complained to their parents about a so called brother, the elders set up a trap, and he was cought trying to seduce a children with words of enticement, he was handed over to the police and of course disfellowshiped. As a victim of child abuse myself (not in JW org) I well know the emotional trauma one can carry all of their lives. I was very upset when I heard about these cases, though wherever children are these sex fiends will be, and some to come into the org with these problems and are unable to change or never intended to, my point is that though I do believe that their are cases I also suspect their are some lies also and fabrication. I have worked with social groups and being brought up in homes ( where it was common, and many a feind would get work in childrens homes just to be near them, they were never screened back then) the problem today is with regress, and many a doctor will put the victim under hypnotheropy, I can tell you truthfully that certain things in regress do occure that are not truthful thoughts but rather fear factors. This by no means is an excuse for these perpitrators or for the society if by hiding these facts they condoned them. They will have to answer to Jehovah for this, and I for one wouldnt' want to be at the end of that retribution and justice for the these lambs.

  I hope that it is rather few than many, and that people don't loose site of the fact that we have a wonderful careing father in Jehovah and yes in his time justice will come swift.

  Crises of Conscience

  i just finished the book by ray franz, coc, and for some reason i'm madder than ever at this organization!!!

  i've been out for over 20 years and now i'm even more pissed off!!!!

  why am i so angry at things i already knew although i'm sure i've just repressed them over the years and got on with my life, anyone else have this anger problem after reading this book, or is it just me??.

  Maybe they prayed before they voted, one has to vote to see if they are in agreement by the majoriity, how do we know if they prayed.
