Thank's so much Onthewayout...that was very helpful. I read you're profile info...what was it precisly that made you start to doubt, as I believe to look things up and do other research from others especially on controversal things such as 1914 could seem that you were not happy prior. I hope that things will work out for you and you're family.

My biggest problem is the lack of love and feeling like an apostate even if I question anything. I truely love Jehovah and want to follow Jesus example as a Christian, but I feel that certain things the elders in the congo; bypass and feel as insignificant to me is worse than someone that may fall and have a cigerette and stop than someone that continually is nasty and a troublemaker, but they seem not to be able to do anything about this because they dont commit a grave sin, I think that is far worse as it makes one feel like dirt, why do they allow these nutters in the congregation to abuse and show no genuine love, I really am so angry about this.

Raymond Franz is a good man

i have come across some old threads that make various accusations against rayfranz, but i think on the whole he seems a kind and thoughtful person.

he didn't do everything right, and he is no saint as some make out: his expulsion is a bit flatteringly called a "crisis of conscience", but he came to terms with the disorienting situation well and did a service to all involved with the witnesses by giving us a look behind the curtain.

I think many that left after reading Franz were on their way out anyway, they just needed that push or excuse that's all. Now some look at ol Franz as Jesus, I am sure those that genuinly wait on Jehovah and do have some doubts will see a much better result in his due time. Sifting away.......

Hi I was wondering seeing that you were an elder if you could help me with a query. I would like to know what sort of records or information the congregations keep on their publishers, for example there conduct, or past transgressions, their being inactive, or marrying out of the truth, problems they have had with others in the truth, or anything they may assume of them. Also who is privy to these records, and if a new elder comes to the congregation is he allowed to view these personal files. I am so against it, I really believe we should be able to view our own personal information, and I I certainly would like to know what they are allowed to keep and show. I also am concerned that those that are married could leek certain things to their wives about others.Thanks for any help.

The best thing is to say that you have cant handle the load and certain things have come up in you're life you have to deal with. Just say you cant cope anymore, basically that is truthfull for whatever reasons you are being honest. Why create more hassles, just go.

In the first century congregations after Christ died, who and how governed the congregations? how did they organize the preaching work, give talks, assignments, instructions, Paul traveled from congregation to congregation, by whose authority? he went to encourage and to discipline, by whose authority? Jesus was not around then, as Jesus is the head of the congregation, all those in these have to listen to his authority, and yes he spoke about a faithful and descete slave class, that would give food at the proper time, Where are they then? who are they then? who is doing this world wide work of preaching the kingdom?

The organization is not perfect and yes they do make mistakes, things are by far more restrictive then they have ever been. Those that don't like can freely leave, berate and do what ever they wish, and those that wish to stay can, and abide by the organizational rules, which they believe are based on Gods word for protection in this System.

The only thing I try to do is show love, respect others, and ignore those I find to be unchrist like, the worst thing I find rather than the doctrines, is lack of love, gossip, and back biting, smiters, and self righteousness, for me that is far worst than anything else.

I also find that some stay in the congregations (especially young ones) not because they believe but because they want to do as their parents say because they don't want to be kicked out and have to fend for themselves, they have it to easy at home. I find that to be hypocricy.

You worship the trinity......or plato....or constitine......triune gods......born again in what sense.......deny the creator and worship the son of..... where in the bible does it say that Jesus is Almighty. only Jehovah is called Almighty.....without Jesus and belief in his sacrifice I would have no hope and that is what witnesses teach, though we pray through Jesus we don't worship him as Jesus himself only worship Jehovah, Mth 4:6 and as youre redeemer said Let You're name, not his but his fathers be sanctifie Mth6:9 he came to do his fathers will, and always gave glory to his father. That is what it formost the santification of God's name, and I suppose he was praying to himself in Gathseme, and on the before his death he prayed for his father's spirit to help him remain faithful. Jesus was not a nutter where he divided himself, he spoke truth, he was and is the truth, the son of the living God Jehovah.

Amazing how much the dubs still control your life, years after (fate)

just recently, i've been getting this feeling that i just can't escape the witnesses.

i still live in the same area as i did when i was a dub, so i always see the old faces on 'theocratic' mornings.

one such old face reared his ugly head today.

Needproof..................I cant belive you have not taught your dog to 'go and pee up a witnesses leg' by now................you need to give him some lessons........................start by standing near his fave peeing place holding a copy of the Watchtower or Awake in a suit (or skirt for that matter) and encourage him to pee on the mags (make sure you reward him big time for this act)..............wont be long before you can happily let him off the lead when you spot the Saturday morning crowd and watch in delight as he takes himself off to urinate all over them............thus avoiding any sad cat stories

You know not all witnesses are bad, and you saying pee on a witness leg...ho ho ho and ha ha ha, but really childish. If you were on a train and left you're wallet behind who would you rather find it? a witness that would more likely hand it in or some other denomination, maybe someone else might, but for my taking I would say a witness. Youre hostility to certain ones that may have hurt you is justified but to all of them you are just being as unloving as you profess some of them to be.

Ray Franz was asked to comment on the child abuse cases and he had nothing to say or any comment, interesting seeing he was dragged before the coals for his freedom thinking 1914 assult.

JW children - conditionally loved?

when they reach a certain age they are expected to "sign up" (get baptized).

in many cases if they choose not to their parents essentially "disfellowship" them.

so a lot of children get baptized under pressure from the parents and when they fail to live the jw life and get df'd the folks are the harshest shunners.

I married twice out of the truth while inactive and came back was never disfellowshiped, I don't understand it sass when you say they can talk to you because you are not a witness yet you said you were disfellowshiped. well what ever hope you're folks find love more important than society thinking.
