A possible 'break' from the rank and file witnesses and WTBTS?? In the near future?

does anyone see this happening: the jw's breaking off from the wtbts, when they realize that a lot of the teachings arent true?.

I think the Watchtower has done extremely well to survive, but i think thats down to cutting costs and taking advantage of 1) free workers and 2) their status as a charity

I expect that they will continue to reform (in much the same way as any corporation does) and look for ways to make some more investments, all the while extracting maximum donations from the dubs to pay for it.

I think it is also down to many being born in the religion, marrying young and having their own JW families, most being baptized are born in the religion, its all to do with fear of losing family. Second third or fourth generation families are not uncommon now and the society focuses more on families than ever.

Yes WRONG WAY... it is a crime. This is why they elders should have reported this SIN to the police, but they didn't did they.

Now I am refering to years ago before this policy.

So now we ask the b/s to report the SIN that is a CRIME, seeing that the elders are the shepherds and give advice to the b/s now to report to the police the Sin/Crime.

I ask why did the elders fail to do this. And don't lie and say they did, because they did not. Otherwise we wouldn't have most so many that reoffended.

Not to mention the Crime does not have to be reported in certain States of the USA where it is not against the law not to report it.

So where does Gods law come into this, where are the principles.

You need to understand that the WTBTS has been neglegent in the past and no doubt continues to be.

Now that they have the Book Study night free, they should assign that "Singing Praises to Jehovah" night... aka in the real world as "choir practice"...except for dubbies, it's required of all members, not just the talented ones. Every Tuesday (or whatever night the BS was on) everyone goes to the hall and practices the songs.

Ha Ha, there would be a mass exodus and they would have more apostates than they could ever image. Time is a huge problem for most JW's, poor things.

We should not pass this by lightly, while JW condemn other faiths they sit comfortably thinking they are so much better because of doctrine and unity. lol

But its what Jehovah says that matters.

Sadly many JW that have been stumbled and mistreated are scattered about, some even not believing God has a household anymore.

CLOSE, MB- but I'm neither lashing out, nor looking: if there IS a Faith other than ours that has the Truth- it will come to ME, since I'm out there talking to people door to door.

Frustrated- YES: it's sickening to see such self-glorification in the 'FDS'- but Christ said such are receiving their reward...in FULL. I HOPE it doesn't apply to them!

Society to start laminating paper backed publications

at the wednesday night ministry school meeting, a letter from the society was read announcing that wtbts paperbacked publications will begin to be laminated.

according to the letter, this "will save approximately 2 million dollars per year," "lengthen the life of the publications," and "increase the attractiveness" of the publications.. so there's that.. .

also, will someone please explain to me why 85% of the congregation started smiling and nodding at this.. i sometimes think that headquarters could send the congregations boxes of turds and the jws would act like it was the best thing ever..

Who to Send a Disassociation Letter To?

if i am going to send a disassociation letter, i am wondering which hounder to send it to.

i know there is no mailboxes at the kingdumb hell, so any letters that get sent there would end up dead mail.

and i know that one does not send them to the washtowel slaveholdery.

Address your letter to the presiding overseer at the last congregation you attended, send one to bethel and keep a copy. If you have anyone in the congregation that you can trust send them a copy of your letter stating the reasons why as it will be left up to the b/s to figure out, sometimes its taken personally.
