It's sad isn't it, I believe that everyone should partake of the emblems, this teaching is wrong. There is a lot that will be rectified after their judgement, and hopefully that won't be to far of.

I don't think I put accurate knowledge on knowing Christ at least I hope not, I have had a good look at myself after my last post, and one thing I do agree is that Christ's teachings do not get enough or near enough emphasis with in the religion.
I am not saying they are right or that the poster is wrong, but I would sincerly hope that I have tried to be a better person by what I have learnt as a JW.
One thing I find very hard to listen to is the critisism the society gives other religions yet they refuse to admit their failings and are hypocritical in denying any past wrongs.

We have been told of a survival kit or bag incase of natural disasters, which is really smart I think.
Difference between Gods war and natural disasters, scriptures say Gods will only destroy the wicked at Armageddon as you probably already know and we don't know when that will be so I guess would be lack of faith if we stock piled food and stuff for Armageddon don't you think.

Used to hear that a lot when I first came into the religion in the mid 70's, emabassadors for christ, and envoys were I think refered to a pioneers at the time, or those bringing a message, the embassadors, the remnant, not sure will check it out further.

This means everlasting life their taking in knowledge of YOU the only true God and the one whom YOU sent for Jesus Christ.
I think you are reading far to much into what you would want others to believe of JW's teachings. Accurate knowledge of who Jesus Christ is and God. Of course JW's have faith in Christ and his teachings, they also believe in the Holy Spirit and its direction.
I personally don't believe in the GB and feel that they have taken the place of Christ and 1Cor 4:8 aptly applies to them.
It is not a credulity and accurate knowledge is vital, as Jhn 17:3 says. It is faith in Christ's sacrifice but also we don't put blind faith in someone we don't know like a trinitarian god.
God is a spirit Jhn 4:24 and must be worshiped with spirit and truth, that means accurate knowledge, I for one don't worship knowledge, and I doubt if the majority of JW do as you say.
my daughter and son in law have just been dfd for questioning re issues we all know about, molestation, 607/587, ngo, etc.
i am not going to add to the damage by shunning so my own days may be numbered ?
maybe though i will be left alone as i dont think rocking the boat is what my own elders are about and our family connections are numerous.
Depends on the elders, some upstarts may want to impress and so spying does happen, they also talk to others that they think know you, usually do this by working with them in the field service.
You're best bet is to lay low and try not to draw any undue attention to yourself. Sorry to say I wouldn't trust many in the truth, especially the elders that are the most most active.

i have been inactive now for over a half a year, and i am just now realizing that there was not one thing i enjoyed about being a witness.
i enjoyed my friends and association with witnesses, and still do.
but i didn't enjoy one thing that we were supposed to do, not one.
Thats why the new KM says the Sunday talk will be only half-hour not 45 minutes to encourage more association after the meeting...most people will just piss off home early.
The same ol people will associate with the same ol people. The elderly fatherless boy, widows, the single lonely ones will all still be in the same boat, ignored. The truth has become a place for families only and even then it is a clique.
The truth is a very lonely place for most.
i personally haven't met any ex jws for many years now, but if you happened to meet one you never met before what's the interaction like?
is there a sense of identity and solidarity due to a common past or no special chemistry going on?
would you pursue a friendship with such a person?
I think it can depend on why they are ex-JW's, not all are honest either, not all are dishonest. Some are very bitter for good reasons others just couldn't hack it., still others have a very good bible knowledge and have legitamate biblical reasons for debate and want to challenge to society.
I found it all very interesting, and though I am on the fence so to speak I can see both sides of issues and without blame finding it is always good to see the fence and whats on either side from a non judgemental point of view.
I have always maintained some of the best folk ever met in the org, and some of the worst, and their are others that need the org, they know no other life and fear what they don't really know, they neither hve the courage or the will to leave even knowing that the org is wrong, and for some in power it is an ego trip they love the power and lording it over others, I find these ones the worst type of witness as in the world they would be booted up the ar*se like no bodies buisness, but in the org they are someone, even if they are only 5ft tall and full of sh*t.
