A big shift in the world is about to happen......
by EndofMysteries ini don't want to deceive anyone and i have to clarify a few things so i'm sorry this is going to be a lot more vague then you want.
infact if you do not already realize or also feel something is about to happen as in the title, then move along, it will be a month or 2 before i update this.
it's not my intention to annoy anybody, i am too uncomfortable to post any details because it's too new and i need to verify things, and i am also feeling responsible to give a subtle warning, that it might be something somebody needs to see.

Standard of Living in the New System
by cobaltcupcake ini used to wonder about this when i was still a dub: since they believe the industrialized world is going to be destroyed and the entire earth will be one big garden, exactly what kind of standard of living do they think they will have?
while they might be able to scavenge, say, a microwave oven or washing machine; and they might be able to figure out how to generate electricity, eventually all of these things will wear out and they'll be back in an early 18th century type of life.
people of that time and earlier who enjoyed a high standard of living employed armies of servants to do the dirty work, but since equality will reign in the ns, everyone will have to toil like a slave just to maintain the basics.. or do they think that big j will magically power their washing machines and water pumps and all the stuff that makes modern living so comfortable?.

The current system is the only one we've ever had, and the only one we'll ever get, so don't waste it!
I know that. I was going along with their narrative for the sake of discussion.
One of the things that always bothered me is: What exactly are you going to talk about with other fellow JWs in the New World? How many times could you possibly eat the same boring fruit and talk about the same boring things? In my area, they always encouraged us to keep an open mind about the possibilites that would be in front of us, such as pursuing learning an instrument or inventing some new device. I guess that could keep you going for a few decades. But what if you learned everything there is to learn?
Perhaps it's time to do a "Diary of a Paradise Dweller" and detail what billions of years of fruit eating and lion petting will do to a soul. I am up to it, but if anyone else does it then they are welcome to take the concept and run with it.

got me to thinking about other actors and actresses and it's crazy how they can make you forget who they really are.

That is another one of the channeled teachings. The irony is that nearly every scripture used to support this doctrine refutes it. Weak game, channeling stuff. Even as the Watchtower denounces Christians for having a trinity, they have created their own.

There will always be people who want someone to tell them which shoe to put on first, what opinions to have, and how many paper towels to use after they wash up. There will always be people who enjoy the heady power trip of telling people what to do, and know they are doing the former people a favor by stepping into the void that would normally be filled with a thinking brain. The Watchtower merely provides a formal setting for those people to find each other.

They can make that change to solve that problem, but then they have created another problem in its place.
They teach that people can not understand the Bible without an organization and the slave feeding them spiritual truth. But the new narrative would mean that Christians were able to understand the Bible without the slave for some 1800 years! In fact, they were able to understand it well enough to pass the 1919 inspection. So with an 1800 year track record of understanding the Bible without the slave, why follow after the claims of these men who are not known to me?
They can't have it both ways.
