When did the Governing Body leaders turn into pawns of Satan? Have they always been, or is this something recent?

50:16-18going beyond what is written by forbidding higher education even though such knowledge results in better use of the brains god gave uspromoting the worship of the governing body over god and christ even though that is idolatrysustained hitlerian opposition to gays in the congregation, something christ never taught, and the list goes on .... now, after reviewing the teachings from the time of russell and rutherford in the early 1900s such as the use of the cross, the celebration of holidays, helping the war effort, the mystic use of pyramids, all things that the organization now condemns, i wonder, did the witnesses ever have the so-called truth?

JESUS assured us that after his death and resurrection, he would raise up a “faithful and discreet slave” that would serve as his channel of communication. (Matthew 24:45-47)
That is an outright LIE. No where in the Bible is there any suggestion or instruction that the spiritistic practice of channeling would be used by God or Jesus to communicate with humans.
Channeling is a practice of entities such as Zetatalk and Ashtar Command, so the Watchtower is using the same methods to communicate with the spirit world that they do.

How do we get to 1914 and then 1919?
by God_Delusion inokay, this might sound like a really stupid question, but after researching this matter for the last hour, i still have no idea why the watchtower society points to 1914 and 1919 using the 70 weeks theory.. don't get me wrong, i know all about 607 b.c.e., but i am having trouble understanding why the prophecy of the 70 weeks has been added.
whose idea was it to add the 70 week business into the mix?.

Publisher's I D Card?....

sister blues came home from the ministry and was a little nonplussed because the c/o had said that publishers were not agents of the congregation.
they were just concerned neighbours visiting ........this was in the context of 'how to deal with 'no callers' signs' ...... no, i don't get it either, she has not been issued one of these since she moved to a new congregation and i said that this card would put a lie to that statement.

This is very interesting.
One basis for the organization being the only one selected by God is that they preach the gospel to all the nations and door to door.
The problem with that claim is that it can not be true if these claims are true. The preaching work is being done by people who are not agents or representatives of the organization, and not at any insistence of the organization. So the organization can not be credited for the preaching work, since it is being done by others and not their agents. Yet they claim it is being done by them.
At least one of these claims is a lie as they can not both be true.

if you are low income or receive a government program like food stamps, then you can get a free cell phone with 250 minutes and maybe even a $10/mo broadband internet connection.
