Who are doing Jehovah's will today? Brochure

this brochure is being studied, in the org starting form this week.

it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.

it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.

I sat through the coverage of the brochure yesterday.

It was like being in a kindergarden.

" Now children, let us find the answer to the question on para 1.

If you get it right I will give you a star"

for me it is the smugness.

it's their inability and refusal to admit they are wrong....ever...even in the face of irrefutable evidence.

isn't pride a sin?

If you are a witness you are supposed to be at anyone's beck and call to help them with whatever

they need doing at that time.

If you don't help ( often for good reasons) you are are labelled as being spiritually weak or not showing

christlike love.

Phone call.." Hey Brother, I know it's 2am, but I need my drain unblocking. Could you come round and give me a hand?"

can a publisher "drop out" and still be in good standing?.

How is it a school anyway?

You have a Brother assigned to be the TMS oveerser who, at

least, in most cases, has no formal teacher training and just

reads the counsel from the school guidebook.

"On page 57 it says ..blah blah blah...."

It is purely a subjective opinion if someone gives a "good" talk or not.

There is no incentive to progress as you can see who is obviously the

school oveerseers' favorites and anyone else can just take a back seat.

The assignments sisters give are often in contrived settings that would never

arise in real life. ( not that I am denigrating the sisters efforts, they do a good job

considering the circumstances) and usually ends up with the householder agreeing

100% with the ( impractical) information presented.

Like: "Now I see that I have to quit my job to go to the meetings" ...

Maybe the TMS should be renamed to something more appropropriate.

Any ideas?

it so happens that in cockney rhyming slang, "jeremiah" means "fire".. after the jeremiah book is finally done with for the cbs this week, i know what i. am going to do with the book.. .

( incidentally, vauxhall novas is rhyming slang for jehovah's (witnesses) ).

Well, I didn't set fire to the Jeremiah book but I shredded it today.

It felt really good!

You should try it.

It gave me a cathartic feeling.

I understood over 40 years ago that "as a young person you will not grow old in this system of things"

That everyone born in 1914 would not die off before Armagedon comes.

Now I am being told "do more..you can do more..."

Don't they realise how bitter some older ones feel about this?

I would say the days of distress have already come especially if you don't have much or any pension or

savings because you listened to them all those years ago.

Give me a break WTS. How about giving me some of the money you are making in hedge funds to offset my deficiency.

Since most JW's HATE giving talks and doing meeting parts, why does the Watchtower Society still require it?

i loathed giving talks and doing meeting parts.

i dreaded all assignments.

i was intelligent enough and always did a good job, but all my jw life (born in to mid-30's) i enjoyed giving talks about as much as a visit to the dentist.. i am sure that 90% of all jw's similarly dislike it.

I love giving talks. It's the only time people actually listen to me. Well, I think they do...

i just totalled the amount of time i have spent going to meetings/.

travelling to and attending assemblies, field service, etc etc, over my 60 years.. it came to nearly 4 years.
