hey all, i posted this in another thread but thought it deserved its own.. here is a perfect example of the blatant disregard wt writers show towards previously written articles.
they just write what sounds good at the time without considering the fact that they just might be actually contradicting themselves.. so here it is:.
flip-flop alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
hope you don't mind me mentioning that the above quote is not from the 1950 Watchtower, but from The Watchtower, 15 February 1981, p 19.
nope dont mind at all in fact the newer thge "light" the better! I must have crossed these to captions, I had a 2 or 3 pages of pasted paragraphs of various WT's while I was putting my research together
Thanks!!
i wind up sitting next to a friend of my wife.
the hall, but has no idea why.
nobody is doing the worldwide work except jw's.
The highest, percentage-wise of janitors and landscapers of any religious groupLOL!
manuscript talk - denim is bad - then a whole item on low cut tops, tight clothing, long slits etc - and bra straps showing (you can not make this shit up) is also bad.
last but one item - desperate need for brothers to reach out - cant form congregations if brothers dont reach out.
The publication - " Keep yourselves in Gods Love" has the topics on masturbation and blood in the appendix
so we have to masturbate till it bleeds?

(August 15, 1950, page 263) "The brothers preparing these publications are not infallible. Their writings are not inspired as are those of Paul and the other Bible writers. (2 Tim. 3:16) And so, at times, it has been necessary, as understanding became clearer, to correct views. (Prov. 4:18)"
First (above) quote: Paul and bible writers are inspired...

No More Circumcision
8 A further bright flash of truth appeared in connection with the question of circumcision...............
9 **************This time, it was not by means of an obvious miracle that those early Christians received the light that circumcision was no longer a requirement for Jehovah’s servants. Rather, they **received that increased light by searching the Scriptures,** looking to the holy spirit for guidance, and hearing the experiences ofPeter and Paul regardingthe conversion of uncircumcised Gentiles. (Acts 15:6-21) The decision was issued in a letter that read in part: **********“The holy spirit and we ourselves********* have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication.” (Acts 15:28, 29) The early Christians were thus set free from the command to practice circumcision and from the other requirements of the Mosaic Law. Hence, Paul could tell the Galatian Christians: “For such freedom Christ set us free.”—Galatians 5:1.
Second quote: THESE bible writers are not inspired, but rather look to the HS for guidance and search the scriptures reading the experiences of Paul.
So what is the WTS/GB saying here? Why would they state this? Because this implies that bible teachings were revealed in the same manner as WTS "Light".
Thus drawing a parallel between the "first century GB" and the "modern day GB"
okay everyone, here is a partial listing of what you can download for your theocratric library.
not all the files are searchable.
the rutherford booklets are just scans converted to pdf.
wow that is unbelievable! Thanks RR !
a friend just informed me that the c/o in his hall will be instructing the elders that anyone with a child in college will be stripped of privileges in the hall.
i am not sure if this is true this is just what i was told.
it could be that it is only a campaign directed at him as he has some ties to ex-jw's and some how got found out.
They said it depends on if the elder feels that you need to go to college to basically survive you won't get your privileges taken away. If they feel its not absolutely necessary to go to college then you can get your privileges taken away
so then if that elder/PO went to college/Uni then it is okay. If your PO is a window-washer then your booted. What a joke
sky dive
swim in a natural hot pool in Iceland

lately i have noticed very strange activity at my local gas stations that i go to in the vancouver area people are being asked to use the debit/credit cards at the pump.
the last time i tried to use a debit card to pay gas inside a gas station i got scolded by the cashier, he said "please pay at the pump!!.
i say gee i guess he is having a bad day or something..... well so i go to anouther gas station - a shell station and the same rhetoric .."please pay at the pump!
funny I had a PO that insists the opposite. that the "credit" system will implode and no one will accept any form of payment other than cash.
That in fact we will become a "cash society"
His family thinks he's a genious...............
some may have seen this tid-bit being passed around in certain jw email circles.
a "deeply concerned" jw relative (who knows i have soured on the whole jw thing) emailed this to me in hopes that it would improve my attitude.
at first i was just going to thank them for their concern and for the "encourgaging" email, but then i decided i must respond to this.
