i am tired of hearing the witnesses crow about the "growth" of the organization.

their figures reflect a growt about that ofthe worlds populatiom, 3 to 5%.

there's, dammit, what do they call that, a constant?, something else that needs considering to the growth of jehovah's witnesses and that's 'no sex until marriage'.

which means jws get married a lot younger than the general public, many times in their teens. then they start pooping out future jw babies.

once married, the congregation puts a massive love bomb on the brother b/c he's now 'responsible', so he's coddled and given position and kept very busy.

so, family growth needs to be taken into consideration, and for the most part it's a passive decision, like for me, my dad said if i was old enough to get a driver's license i was old enough to get baptized. i read b/t those lines, no baptizm, no license. no license, no way to sneak out of the house to go see concerts and hang out with my friends who lived out of the area.

bam! baptized, and didn't leave for a good 10 years after that b/c by default the whole social network is in tact, yadda, yadda yadda.

so if kids born into it aren't counted, i think there would be a loss in most parts of the world.

solution: sex before marriage, with a condom, hey that was fun. sex with someone else. hey that was fun. leaves the whole mystery out of it and people will make better choices in those they marry and make better choices on whether to stay in a religion that's quite kooky.

JW Youths - Living "Double Lives"

i grew up around very hypocritical jw youth.

many of whom i now know at 20 were never living up to the lie they put out ... stupid me i was.

here i stand now because of it - i am sure most of you here being ex-jw's know this very familiar situation.

i was an elder's son, but the crew i hung with were crazy and i was the least of all b/c i was scared when they'd steal and do other stuff.

though for a good 18 months as a teen i drank and smoked some pot and partied with worldly girls and our anger was used to smash up school property, etc.

friends who i grew up with who were witnesses have killed themselves. one murdered someone and killed himself in prison.

if i didn't have that little release of pressure, i might be dead as well.

re: immunity, it was the exact opposite for me. i was in front of the elders for everything. watch a rated-r movie=elders. swearing=elders. my dad got off on it. the power drunk janitors got off on it. my dad being an elder was probably the worse thing ever and anytime we got in trouble, i was blamed b/c i was the elder's son. i had no control over that, but the label was there.

now i have complete control and the wtbts and elders hold no power over me. it took me years, even after fading out to get to that place. it's a good place to be.

thankfully our donations do not go to the wtbts anymore....i was able to convince the family to stop donating b/c some of the money is going to settling law suits and they're not being forthcoming with that....keeping it vague, 'for the worldwide work'. the world wide work now includes them having to pay millions for the hurt caused by their arrogance.

i'm glad my family agreed with me...one step in the direction of, 'hrmmm, maybe this ain't so troof afterall?'

"Bad" songs at JW weddings

when i was in my teens, jw weddings were quite the social affair.

of course, the music was strictly regulated by the elders.

somehow though, in each wedding, someone managed to get the song "you shook me all night long" by ac/dc into the dj's rotation, and all of the "bad" witnesses would have a blast dancing to it.

i've never been to a wedding that had 'good' music. always the same ol' standbys.

but, credit where credit is due, weddings are probably the hardest events for DJs to spin b/c it has to be crowd pleasers and the crowd is too varied.

March BOE Financial Letter?

i received an email from a sister-undercover -apostate saying someone had posted on her anti-jw group that there was a boe dated march 1, 2008 about local kh financial accounts and the wts.. my fading doesn't always let me log-on much and i couldn't find anything under "boe letter" with last month search tool.

has this been discussed?

i stopped by the kh today and checked the board and we had nothing posted (not really expecting to see it posted either).. here is the cut/paste of her email to me:.

i got the large postcard today that apparently is designed to market the movie knocking to jws.

under "knocking opens the door on jehovah's witnesses," it states:.

knocking was broadcast on pbs and written about in newsweek, usa today and newspapers from detroit to dallas.

at least get him shunned from a community he is a part of so he'll have no option of good sex again since they'll know he's worse than trying to show victims of the holocaust that hilter wasn't really that bad of a guy.

do christians really understand what it means to be a satanist?

i think most people are ignorant of what being a satanist is.

this questions for the christians, what do you think it is?

i'm just curious and am not looking for a heated debate, just curious if people even know what it means.

there are different types of satanists.

the satanic church, headed by anton lavey's daughter, doesn't believe in satan and uses the satanic icons as more of a middle finger to christianity.

that was one of my first questions, if someone's a satanist, that pretty much means they believe in christianity.

there were other split offs after anton lavey died who try to take it further with ritual, etc. but for the most part, anton lavey and his family were a very showbiz type family, always doing vaudeville type acts for their friends, you know, sammy davis jr., etc. who claimed membership in the satanic church....or at least friendliness.

i've studied the satanic church and have worked with karla lavey and for the most part, it's a venue for entertainment. they don't believe in satan b/c they don't believe in the bible.

then there's been the talk of the satanic bible, scribed by anton lavey, but from what i've heard, it's mostly copied from other 'holy' texts and skewed. i haven't read it, so my knowledge of that is based on third hand information and could be completely wrong.

if anyone believes in satan, that pretty much makes them a christian.

seriously i wish the topic would just go away here. the filmmaker is an idiot just scoring $$ from the drones and completely selling out the homosexual community for his light touch and wtbts approved documentary.

some of my gay friends have asked me about the documentary and i tell them straight up this guy's willing to get in bed with an organization that is awaiting the brutal murder of anyone who's gay by God's hand.

he may as well be jewish and making propaganda films for hitler.

he will use any legal action for publicity purposes b/c he's a slimball looking for hollywood cred. take it down if it's your video, do not let him parlay publicity, that's all he's looking for.

Went to the Memorial Last Night

the hall i went to had some guy from bethel who literally sounded like a 12-year-old giving the talk.

all i could think about was v's video about the memorial and how it's nothing but an infomercial for jehovah's witnesses.

i realized why the memorial is "so important" to jehovah's witnesses: it's their biggest recruiting day of the year!

i hit it last night too. flask of scotch in my bag, couple xanax in my system.

we darted in.....only one sis recognized me and she was sweet....didn't give me weird vibe, i knew her from 12 years ago.

then i'm walking out, right after amen....no, at 'in jesus name,(i make to the door), amen," and i hear, "hey Mono" (said my real name, i'll reveal it here soon enough), and i turned around and saw some dude i hadn't seen in like 8 years...he's been out for a while too.

i said, 'holy shit (his name)', without thinking that it might be a bad thing to say in front of a bunch of jws.

after we hugged i said 'it's fucking great, it's great to see you'....very funny b/c it didn't occur to me at all until faces turned around when i swore.

good times.

yeah, the recruitment bs is still the majority of the 'celebration'. they had a bunch of old brochures, i forgot to steal them, in the back library.....one was people walking to paradise while the city burned behind them and i pointed it out to my wife, 'won't it be great one day when people will burn in those buildings and die horrid deaths so jehovah's people can have paradise'.
