I hate Walmart!
by Elsewhere ini rarely ever set foot in the place and will go out of my way to avoid shopping there.
tonight i made the mistake of giving walmart the benefit of the doubt and walked in the door.. they didn't have the main item i was looking for, but they did have one other small item.
i headed to the front to check out only to find they had only a few check-outs open and all of the lines were far too long.

Service is so easy now
by coaster ini just knew the gb would find a way to keep on going when the end never seems to come.
well, new light shining brightly we all recently learned that the 144k are still being selected.
no more need to "graft" new ones onto the broken branch.

welcome coaster.
oh gawd, is this seriously the 'new info' in the km?
this should get the emotional-jws, whose only personality trait is that they're jws, wet in their pants.
i'm partaking next year...at the only meeting i go to once a year, the memorial, for family obligations as well....45 minutes a year is better than getting shit about it for a couple of weeks....and xanax and a notepad for all the sudden poetry inspiration i get, i almost wish it was twice a year.

A year since my brothers death
by purplesofa intoday it's been a year since i got the call about my brothers suicide.. i posted on the board that i would be gone for awhile.
the support i got was unbelievable.
comforting.. as this first year has passed, the missing part is still there.

suicide is hard. i've had two family members kill themselves, one try real good, and two close friends commit suicide.
it's been about 9 years since the last suicide, but i was really messed up there for a while b/c of that stretch of time...and it was when i was still 'in' and i've given my experience here before, but the elders demonized us in the early ones since they assumed it was b/c of secret sins, which really f*&ked me up further.
the hurt, the love, the memories are all still there and my dead friends and family are a part of me and i pay homage to them on the anniversaries of their deaths. but instead of open wounds, they feel like scars now....and there's still feelings of anger which fuels a bit of sarcasm and absurdity about depression and suicide.
i was a lot more suicidal closer to the times of those deaths....now, those thoughts have decreased a lot and if/when i do have them i talk about them in therapy and it seems to help.
my thoughts are with you.

i don't, but i have a lot of jewish friends too, and we're in a mishmash culture, so it's not too emphasized in our circles of friends.
if someone has children and they are excited about christmas, i'll make sure to give them a little something and wish them a merry christmas....it's a consumerism holiday and if i had kids i'd let them do whatever the rest of the kids in school were doing so they wouldn't feel left out and i'd probably teach them about giving to others and how many people volunteer at soup kitchens, etc., and would bring them there to help out, then reward them.
so, no, i don't actively celebrate it, but if i had kids it would be a whole different situation b/c they wouldn't understand the media pounding and i would be careful not to put them in an embarrassing situation w/ their friends....and they'd probably make me take them to mcdonald's even though i haven't eaten fast food in over six years and don't go near those places.
thanks marketing executives.

i really enjoyed dancing my ass off and me and a friend went to two wit parties every weekend for a year, even if we weren't invited, we'd sneak in.
that was after i had come back from being inactive and used to go clubbing three to four nights a week.
i liked going to black congregation parties and really getting down, and i could beat most of their asses at dancing, so i fit right in.
if i were to relive it, i'd just continue going clubbing instead of going to wit parties.....at least there'd be some good making out on the dance floor at clubs.

James Rayford's Talk - 1 Year on... DC Talk
by AlphaOmega inat the convention, a brother gave the following exerpt within the talk "do not follow - after false stories".
mp3 here... http://www.savefile.com/files/914842.
sensational tales or experiences received via e-mail could be "false stories".. so when you receive an e-mail, you know where it comes from because it tells you does't it... it's printed out on the piece of paper.. ... but if you are sent and experience or a doubtful story, can you find out what the origin is of that account or that experience?.

i told my wife about this since she got the talk emailed to her from a witness...she said she didn't listen to it, but i explained that it's just another attempt at the wtbts blaming the little guy, the people 'listening to the talk' for this misinformation and not being....uh, christian?, and apologizing, or having the person who gave the talk send along an apology if it was misinformation. they always twist it to make it the publishers or apostates fault, or the elders fault....they never accept responsibility.
i explained to my wife that it's the exact same in an abusive relationship.....a husband can beat you up, then place the blame on you for _______, 'you drove me to it', mentality.
i told her the day the governing body starts sincerely apologizing..."and not, sorry we did that, but...", type apology, a heartfelt one for any of this stuff, i'll go back to meetings. and we all know that will never happen, and if it did, it would topple the whole organization anyway.
boy, the wtbts is still pushing hard to limit access to information....i see my relatives still completely bought into these manipulations....it's really scary to watch.
i faded before the internet became what it has, so i don't know how would feel about hearing this, if i would start doubting now, if my life experience was different and i was still bought into the propaganda.

Is Half The 'Disciple Making Work' A Hoax?
by metatron in17 yearts ago, it took 3,624,773 publishers to generate 263,855 baptisms (1990 yrbk).
however, last year it took 6,491,775 publishers to get 248,327 baptised!
exactly what work were those spare 3 million publishers.

of course, being the politicians they are, they'd tweak their stats of inefficiency to 'the harvest is almost complete and armageddon is ever so closer'.

i listened to most of this idiotic talk, i love the beginning, didn't he say, everyone, let's close our bibles? i can't bare to stomach hearing his arrogant mock humility tone of authority again, so may someone can confirm so i don't wretch.
anyway, his talk was getting all my relatives wet in their panties.
