Dfed and Damned for Life

i have posted my story on here before.

i was dfed at 22 for sleeping with an 18yr old girl in my cong.

i was married and me and my "mistress" were both dfed.. i admit i was wrong by even the worlds standards.

i just heard about "new light" that elders need to get people reinstated as quickly as possible so they don't become downtrodden (oh boy, wtbts terminology).

that's all fine and dandy, of course getting elders off their power trip is like telling a homosexual biker not to wear chaps.

and, they've done so much damage over the years, to people just like you and i who weren't being sinister, but sincere, and they continue to have bugs up their asses.

i say keep trying, you've put in the hard time, keep your head up, get that reinstatement so the shunning in your family can end...even though resentment will probably be there until the end of the world, and if you choose, learn from how you're being treated and fade out quickly.

see the red flags waving and take note.

i wish you the best whatever decision works for you.

they're treating you like you went on a killing spree...adultery is rough, but we all make mistakes and time heals and we all get on with our lives.

thanks abbagail, checking it right now....and my milton is coming in the mail as we speak, a really beat up copy of paradise lost w/ all the art that usually runs $150, i got for way cheaper....can't wait to sketch the art dore did for that.

this is all started from the second novel i'm working on, which wasn't going to have religious themes, well, the character has moved there on his own....so now i gotta keep up with him.

re: gnostic research, i'm interested in a gnostic for dummies type book (even though i hate those lame titles), but something that can give an overview so i can see if i'm interested in delving further, like into the books of enoch, etc.

any suggestions?

wasn't most of the NWT a rip off of another translation? (as i wrack my brain for remembering while having a glass of kettle one)

i think this is the start of a great project that would do service to current jws who have no idea that the option of fading is even open to them.

publishing this under your name might turn your fade into a challenge to the borg where they may or may not come after you. i'm very interested in this scenario b/c if they don't come after you and you're interested in staying faded, then no biggie, if they do come after you, then it could be developed into a publicity stunt/campaign, which i would have a publicist on standby to fully exploit the witch-hunt.

i hope you change your mind and continue working on the book.

I'm on a bit of a mission

those who don't know my story- was brought up a jw, married young (dumb idea), divorced, kinda fell for the 1st person that came along, that didnt work, now kinda sat pondering where the hell the past decade has gone!

i'm on the hunt for some of my old friends, both people that have had the sense the leave the jw's as well as my old mates from school and college that were good friends- and must of put up with some weird behavior from me (no xmas and birthday cards, no attending of birthday parties etc etc).

i've managed to get into contact with one or 2 which is great, especially one who asked if i was still aa jw , which i was so pleased to be aable to say i wasn't!

so you were "in" when college was ok? do you remember info and talks explaining why it was ok? i'm interested in the flip flopping of 'higher education' and their lame explainations that go along with it.

best of luck connecting with your old friends.....i have old 'worldly' friends who i'd like to find and apologize to for trying to study with them. ug!

i agree with everyone regarding the first one, must've been from a mormon slant, and the fight scene was very stupid, but the actors performing the fight scenes were talented as hell, that was actually some great choreography.

superpioneer, i laughed my ass off when he said, "you look busy, so i'll be brief".

was superpioneer made by an active witness? he got a lot of assembly coverage that looked like it was all at the same assembly or meeting.

suicidal friend

i have not talked to a good witness friend of mine in 3 weeks.. yesterday, i called and asked if he had not called me due to being mad for some reason (seems like i have to do the calling all the time).. he told me that he had been severely derpressed, and had comtemplated suicide.. he's seeing some kind of natural care doctor.

i congradulated him on seeking help, but advised him to also talk to mental health doctor.. he is totally against that!.

he told me that he's only gonna do the following 2 things: 1) take some happy vitamins, 2) try to do more service hours!.

if he is definitely a suicide risk, call the police and try to get him hospitalized.

it won't be pretty, but it's better than a dead friend.

i hope these images work below.. i was at the laundermat, watching this lady do her "street witnessing".

these photos were actually the most attentive she was b/c she was wondering what the hell i was doing taking photos of her.. for the hour i watched her, she talked to nobody.

when i walked by earlier i made eye contact and smiled and she avoided my eyes.

looking back, i wish i would've said, "i hope you're not counting time, do you really think jehovah considers sitting on your ass and not speaking to anyone, but limply holding up an Awake! counting time?"

which would've been hilarious b/c i look the furthest from a jw would look and i had a punk rock t-shirt on.

eh, i can't scare old ladies, even the brainwashed ones.
