it truly amazes me to see how so many jw's are brain dead.
i spent the last few days with some witnesses and they complained about this elder, that congregation, these rules that are enforced in one congregation but not another, how truly boring the meetings are, how holy spirit could not have appointed brother so-and-so.
i heard how an elder in a nearby congregation is really a thief and a liar.
It's hard to lose your family, especially when youre competing with god.

did man go to the moon?.
just watched an amazing programme that claimed the moon landings were faked.i was supprised at how compeling the evidence against a moon landing was.anyone know more about the subject?.
if it is true that this didn't happen it raises a whole lot of questions about how trust worthy our governments are.
I beleive there is a joint european mission ot revisit the lunar landing sites.
Bb, how would we know if the published results of that joint mission wouldn't be faked? Other than the fact that European technicians are inherently more forthright than ones living in North America.
if you could time travel ...where would you go and what year.. i would go to new york in the 1940's...i love the fashion and the cars.. check out the new movie coming out .

If today, one where actually able to travel into the past or future, wear airtight protective clothing and a filtered nitrogen/oxygen tank breathing apparatus so as not to transmit or recieve mutated bacteria or virus.
If you travel into the future it would be wise to slip into a radiation suit as well. You'll never know what arguments our grandchildren would have gotten themselves into, until you reach the 'other side'.
Yesterday and tomorrow may well be on the same planet...but entirely different worlds.
The depths of hurt felt over broken relationships actually increase the more we learn how shallow the source.

i've read alot of great posts that contain experiences, opinions, and facts that show what the wts has as an ageneda.
my own experiences and observations are as follows:.
mind conrol: the wts weapon of choice to keep their ranks within their grasp so as not to influence the rest.
Thought provoking observation, CC.
However, it cannot be ignored that the WTBTS Inc. as part of its marketing strategy does provide specific benefits, either real or imagined, for Jehovah's Witnesses in return for their financial and visible support.
Just as with any consumer, current Jehovahs Witnesses feel the price they pay in time and money is well worth their perceived lifestyle purchase in spite of questionable production methods used by the manufacturer.
Watchtower Inc. has probably been, for a quite some time now, one of the best marketers of American 'protectionist style', religious consumerism in terms of net financial gain because the corporation knows exactly the type of consumer that 'works' but more importantly, how to get rid of the ones who don't.
i've discovered one of the most amazing places, thanks to a poster here:.
(i don't know how to create a link; please feel free if you do).
there are video tapes and audio tapes and movies and cds and all kinds of stuff.
Ooooh...let me try!
Unthinking Bleeps is, the 'bread and butter' the WTBTS Inc., loves ta keeps...

personally, i do not believe god ever has or ever will exist.
i have my reasons -- i guess i could be considered an agnostic, rather than an athiest.
i was curious to see what the larger part of the former borg community believed, now looking from the outside in, rather than the opposite.
Im absolutely convinced the realization of current concepts of a God doesnt exist.
Otherwise the worlds accredited amateur & professional sporting commissions, in their pursuit of fair play for atheists, agnostics et al, would have banned either God or non-believers from the playing fields long ago. As the belief in One could enhance one's performance, would be considered an unfair advantage.
Since there is no corrolation between a 'sporting' contestants success based on, belief in or lack of, cosmic forces...anyones concept of God...is not taken seriously.
Case in point, during a curcial game for the Italian team at the recent World Cup the Italian coach needed a goal, soon. So it was televised spilling a vial of Holy Water on the turf and shortly thereafter the Italians got the goal.
Perhaps, instead of a vial, the Italian coach brought a five gallon JUG of Holy Water, or a box full of Watchtowers and Awake! the Italian team would have won the game.
jewish people have mezuzas (sp?
) and others in history have used gargoyles to keep away evil spirits.... .
looks like we could mount a smurf on our doorposts to keep jehovah's witnesses away.
Most Jehovah's Witnesses are always welcome at my door.
Except maybe the head honcho Elder of the local congregation, who looked spooky wearing a black raincoat, checking on this interested prospect.
He appeared a little to exasperated that I didn't take his perspective of imminent destruction seriously enough and I had the feeling the elder was thinking I was much too upbeat for my own good and less crusty Jehovah's Witnesses visitors.
I enjoy our little 'chats' and as far as I know, I've never let on that for many years, elsewhere, I used to do exactly as my door to door visitors.
In the past, my house has been a favorite stop for the rookies because they're assured an encouraging placement and fair bit of interesting questioning if I'm home.
Although, they've been curiously absent for sometime, I'm a little concerned that the cat is out of bag...time will tell if paranoia has superseded our friendly 'chats'.

to get to the other side.........i'm actually going to work today, but wanted to post this old, but unusual article for anyone, such as myself, that hasn't seen it.....what was interesting was the claim that "revisions in legal structure" were dictated by the need to keep pace with growth.
why then is bethel, as rumoured, downsizing, unless this growth has declined since this article was written.
sorry i don't have a link......... .
THE SOCIETY RUNS a remarkable publishing empire...The Watchtowerhas a circulation of 22 million. - Daily News (New York)
22mil Watchtowers divided by 5.2 mil publishers, equals 4.23 Watchtower magazines per Jehovahs Witness being chided into paying the prescribed cash donation is all that is required to meet the obligatory WTBTS bi-monthly dispersment quota.
Using the 80-20 rule, predictably 80% of all Watchtowers per bi-monthly episode could quickly end up in landfills or, in the case of third-world communities, as insulation, fire-starter or cheap entertainment.
A gregarious gaggle of disingenuous grandmothers, given enough time, could accomplish something similar.

Kat' the only behavior more insidiously unpredictable than addictive, co-dependant dysfunctionalism, is institutionally pre-programmed denial and dysfunctionalism.
Once, facing up to the psychotic onslaught, most likely, one can only learn to save oneself.
You gotta' hand it to the corporate males who pull the heart strings of WTBTS adherents, they're very good at what they do.
