last night my sister-in-law asked my kids why they haven't been attending meetings.
she cornered them individually.
she asked my son and he said no he has not been attending meetings and that he has been doing some research and that he didn't believe it was the truth.

i have not been on the site for awhile.
i have been really busy with school and work.
but now things are calmed down a bit, and i am back... so hi again to everyone i missed, and also to anyone new.
You may be correct DIM, I should have put 'you' in quotations.
Although I focused on CG’s comments directly and used them as an example, I believed CG’s was of sufficient maturity and intelligence to understand my intent was to underscore that the perceived lack of daring and subdued behavior, especially when confronting corporate hierarchy actually benefits unscrupulous manipulators within that or any hierarchy.
It appears from CG’s previous balanced response to my comments that CG is well equipped in spite of any situation to stand by her observations and fight her own battles when she so chooses.
However, if I’m mistaken as to the level of CG’s maturity and intelligence, or mine for that matter, please accept my apology.

That would be such fun, but I am not that daring, so I have to be subdued...
Most likely the reason the WTBTS likes you as a Jehovah's Witness,in other words, reliable cash paying consumer of WTBTS Corporate publications and unpaid promoter of same.

i've been df'd since last september.
i haven't heard from my ex-best friend in about 6 months.
so all of a sudden she emails me yesterday asking one simple question:.
...I'm not sure of how I'm going to reply to this just yet.
Apparently a response is undeserved. Unless you like hanging onto dysfunctional friends, perhaps it's best you ditch the...sister and shuffle on down the line, life is way to short for that nonsense.

i'm heading down a path i think alot of you have gone down... and i'm certainly not looking for any sympathy here.
i've read some experiences here and at other sites that shows me that alot of folks have gone through alot worse than i am.... basically, a year ago i left brooklyn bethel after a five year stint.
already sick of structured man-worship, i struggled for while to pretend, but my heart wasn't in it.
...but I'm betting some of you can relate.
Next stop Vegas, Joe' because you've just won...big time.
As I eluded to Leander, in an earlier post who's going through a similar event, he has at least the benefit of instant communication that the Internet can provide.
That's a terrific advantage for you that I never had, but unprecedented competition for the American business of 'religion' so used to having free reign.

in a few more days i'll be making my departure from the wts, part of me is relieved and yet another part of me is dreading the drama i'll be going through shortly.
i've been trying to prepare myself for the deluge of questions that i know are sure to come from my family.
my wife will be the first person i tell obviously and then i'll tell my mother and younger brother.
How I wish I had the benefit of the Internet when I began to question the validity of the 'Amway' of religions...the WTBTS!

i went to a dinner party tonight that had about 100 people, all non jws.
laughter and merriment and a good time was had by all.. these were good honest hard working people who have no clue as to what jws believe or that they are going to be judged according to whether they believe like witnesses do.. it impressed on my mind just how unknown witnesses are and how little people pay any attention to their message.. witnesses think they are the center of the universe.
non-witnesses don't even think about them at all.. joel
I suspect Jehovah's Organization is betting on just that scenario when countering negative feedback. In this case, most, who're under the Organizations influence via a surgical-like mental quarantine, are almost totally unaware of internal events in its entirety.
On the other hand, those who’ve never been Jehovah’s Witnesses or even if they’ve heard about them in venues other than stand up comedy routines really couldn’t care less about what a so-called Jehovah’s Organization does.
So if history means anything, whoever holds the purse string of 'Jehovah’s Organization' understands the ignorance demographics on their turf better than anyone, and it appears they just might prevail using imperceptible policy alterations as in years gone by counting on the lethargy of the masses as usual…unless, of course, these are unusual times.

hello all...well i am very new to this site.
i have recently been contemplating of fiding out more about the jehovah's witness religion.
i have done some research, have talked and am friends with witnesses, and am ready to take it a step further.
it will take more than prayer to overturn my water tight logic though
Hmmmm…interesting…logic trumping prayer. Sorry follower, it appears I mistook you for a fundamentalist rather than a ‘foot puller’.
My apologies. :)
