I love being at the beach on a warm, breezy day listening to the waves while worshipping the sun. This past Thursday was a day like this and I was there with my significant other. It was wonderful!!!

Irreverent Got Good News
by blondie insome of you may remember that my husband suffered heart failure in may and the words "heart transplant" were mentioned often.
he has been in heart rehab (diet and exercise and close monitoring) and meds since then.
last week, he was told that the heart transplant was off the table.

Being honest with myself and my past
by Dawn ini was talking with my husband a few nights ago about a situation with my jw family that really upset me.
it is truly a ridiculas situation which my husband (never a jw) agreed, and as i ranted on about their indoctrination and their beliefs he looked at me and said "you're right, but how can you act so shocked, you used to be just like them.".

So many of us here who blame parents, or other family, for being so cruel to us and shunning us.........forget that WE TOO, practiced this behavior. We think now that WE see the truth......so should they. It isn't reality. They act upon emotions produced from an organisation, and not their own hearts many times.
What I put in red I believe is EXACTLY what we all realize at whatever point we are at within or without the Borg when we take the blinders off.

Good question! I'd add a comment on this:
We are not affiliated with any other religious group including not with the Watchtower over Jehovah's Witnesses, as we look directly to Jehovah Himself and use the Bible alone as our study material for Bible Study meetings.
That's appalling English grammar! What does it mean? Ya know, I find it difficult to put confidence in someone who can't get their syntax right!-------------

Wednesday:
I want them to publish the unvarnished history of jws. I want them to lose their religious tax exemption and start building homes for older jws who now have no money b/c they expected to be in the new system by now.
I would like this to be done as well....and extend these homes or have a facility for those who have retired from the the circuit and district work.

The "New Personality"

now, before i was a jw i was friendly and easy to get along with.
it only took a few years of exposure to the cult before i noticed personality changes.

When you are raised as a JW, your JW parent(s) are supposed to instill this in you as a child. So what is to put on? That is a question I have asked myself many times being a JW. Now that I am contemplating leaving by doing a slow fade, I find myself shedding a lot of attitudes. However, I have always considered non-JWs as decent people--never as the enemy. I don't have any close friends in the org. I have two close friends outside the org. and am getting close to making another close friend. Two of them are no longer JWs and one is married to a guy who was raised by JWs but never did anything about it.
Lady Lee's comments are excellent because that is just what the org. wants you to feel and believe. Myself, I think humans are complicated beings and we need to get ahold of ourselves to keep from being tossed around "hither and thither" by many ideas and philosophies and choose one or two and live our lives by them. I hope that made sense!

Shallow and superficial. They miss the importance of just what Jesus did for mankind, not even thinking about the pain he went thru--sure they talk about it, write about--but do they ever think about it? I know because I was like that too--until several years ago. Not that I had one of those experiences that "born-again" Christians say they have, but something changed... All JWs think about is that the end is coming soon, it can't be that much longer, this system stinks, etc., etc., etc.
