Rehab has been very interesting, but ended nightmarishly....

was i in rehab for alcohol addiction or jwd addiction!?!?
!......no computers or cellphones allowed so i have been awol awhile..... ya, i finally made my self sick enough on booze to realize i was really sick and tired of being sick and tired....so checked myself into rehab without any planning at all and while wife was out of town on a family retreat...it was a a very desperate moment in my life, and i was extremely physically and emotionally sick....i was so desperate i took zero time to reseach where to go, but called an old school friend who said rehab had saved his life and he made the calls and actually took me and helped me check in to the place he went to 5 years ago.

I'm proud of you Oompa. I almost lost my daughter to drugs and alcohol. The AA meetings were difficult for her at first because of the God/Higher Power stuff but she has learned to depend on herself and pick and choose what is helpful to her from that organization.
She is fast approaching her 2 year sobriety date, Oct. 28th, and I am so proud of her. Remember HALT and don't let yourself get too Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired. Figure out your personal triggers and role play in your mind how to handle things when you are triggered.

Neighbors Are Newly Re-activated JW's
by White Dove ini'm wondering what the stats are on re-activated jw's staying in or leaving the second time around.
i left twice for a couple of months the first time and a year the second time, but finally left for good the third time.. i just found out that my neighbors are jw's but have been out for a while.
the jw's in our area just came by and re-activated them.

I was in for 10 years ...out for 11 years but still believed, then in for 6 years and woke up, now I've been out for 2 1/2 years and will never go back because I now know it's bullshit.

It was 41 here today, brisk and crisp, just the way I like it. I took a pic of the clouds just beyond the tree line, fog in the valley as well but you can still see a bend in the river. Stunning ...I'll try to post pics tomorrow.
