Writer's Block

he has been reading, absorbing, the literary light from an age past, yet not one so far removed from his very own.

when, once again, ready to put his thoughts to paper, the writer shall do so, not with the puerile urgency of earlier days, but with a reserve and a deliberation more characteristic of his enlightened today.

levels of inspiration lowering degree by degree, he has been completely drained of any thought, any emotion, that would otherwise be siphoned from the mind's well of ink now stoppered.

OK 25 years out!!!

i'm not the longest out.

mouthy was out before i was and a handfull of others.. but this year marked 25 out for me as opposed to 22 years in.

this life is what you choose to make it.

Woot Woot!!!! Good on you, I agree with your advice. I can not believe how happy I am, the first year out was the hardest.

we all remember 2008 ,that was the year this discussion forum came close to shutting down.

simon green and his wife angie are our guests on the call.

they are the founders and administrators of perhaps the largest critical site of the watchtower ( jwn discussion board) simon tells the callers that he is shutting the board down for posters.

If YOU Could Be Picked For a TV Date What Would Make You So Desirable?

i watch this new jerry springer show called baggage and basically everyone has some "baggage" but the contestants have an opportunity to try to sell themselves over the other person and the person with the most personal baggage has to leave.. what would make someone want to pick you as a better date or mate than another?

(just for fun, you can answer this even if you have a significant other)..

Poor mini...this looks like a failed thread and I know you aren't used to that.

Well, to start with, I LOVE people. I love to make people feel comfortable and feel good about themselves. I have plenty of baggage myself so a lot of people can identify with me because I am very open about those things. I connect very easily with others.

I like to have fun but it's more important to me that everyone in the group, whether the group is large or small, is having a good time.

I don't play games and I don't put people down.

firstly, i will fill you in.. my friend's marriage split up in march.

both of them were raised as jw's, but i believe only my friend went to the meetings because his wife didn't want to go.. anyway, i believe that my friend started suffering with his health because he was taking on extra work to look after his wife and daughter to cover the debts that she had accumulated.

anyway, in march she left, claimed domestic violence and has left him in all sorts of debt (she had been running up credit card bills) .

I agree with jgnat.

I have found that lies and manipulation are used by humans everywhere. It's one of the reasons I began to study with JW's. I thought they were different, some ex JW's aren't different either. It's sad that humans have to be this way.
