Just finished reading Crises of Conscience (4th Edition)

i read coc 15 years ago and it was an eye opener, but feel i must have read it through jw veiled thinking.. after reading the updated version it left my brain reeling.

the comparison of the un debacle with what happened to the mexico/malawi episode explains a lot.. i remember so many of the rules that came down to the rank and file while i was growing up.

the reminder of the 1975 horsesh*t was nausiating...i lived through it, was df'd the first week of january 1975 and then it was reversed in march of 1975. my parents were desperate to save my 16 year old life.

I read both in the last month or so (since I began posting here) and they really opened my eyes and helped me along in the grief process. Ray Franz is so kind and humble. The fact that he is not bitter was amazing to me and made me take a hard look at myself. Pedophiles and Malawi really put me over the edge. MUST READS for everyone here IMHO.

Email from my Mom defending WTS, Point/counter point/ Point

a little back story; i have been having a lot of debates with my mom about society stuff.

anyways i directed her to the watchtower documents and the molestation charges.

she then sent me an email here is what she wrote, the orginal email was just a link to the site and i said something to the effect of, jehovah makes public the records that were supposed to be hidden!
