by minimus inpersonally, i don't think the organization is reformable.
while i was an elder, i tried to be a more moderate voice and as i grew older any harsher attitudes disappaited from within me.
as they say, all the good (and smart) elders have left.

Missed college when you were younger? Here's a good solution!
by Awakened at Gilead inat my age i didn't want to spend the next 4-10 years going to college classes after work.
i have mentioned this in a few popsts but wanted to share this on a new thread so that everyone can find out how easy and cheap it can be to go to college.. i am studying online with cuny (city university of ny).
tuition is $2165 per semester if you take 4 or more classes.

Some of you have read my posts, I've had a lot of major trauma and drama for the past few years although things are much better than they have been for a long time. Even with all of that I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER IN MY LIFE than I am right now, the last 10 months out of the cult has allowed me to be ME. To react/respond to situations the way I think I should or want to. I no longer have to do what I think is right according to some cult's standards and it is liberating. I decide what is right and I trust my own judgment. Life is beautiful.

Good grooming is important to me. No unibrows, ear and nose hairs. That is completely different though from good looking. I could care less about looks. I've dated guys that were absolutely considered ugly by my friends and it didn't bother me a bit. My estranged husband is HOT, works out and built, nothing about his body could be improved on in any way. Turned out to be an asshole to me, looks like a nice guy to everyone else. Say what you will guy that posted above me, (sorry - already forgot your name) sense of humor, kindness, personality and ability to love are the deciding factors for me. Has to be someone that gets me.

can any one give me information on the numbers quoted below, in respect to them being inaccurate, correct, or what the number is more like, when you add in jw's that aren't elders, where it seems like they fail to mention here.
it almost seems they try and minimalize the the amount of abuse by only speaking of the elders here.
