I`d rather stick pins in my eyes. Going back to that practice would just bring back tooooo many unhappy memories. Being a kid in the blistering cold and being told to enjoy it!!! No way Jose..

as part of a cult awareness campaign of sorts???
to de-ignorize (new word) householders and give them tools for engaging a cult member on their door step?
i had that idea and got some positive feedback...so, any of you would find that something you would want to participate in ?

centurion:samson the sadducee strangler, sir.
uh, silus the syrian assassin.
uh, several seditious scribes from caesarea.
Try as I might, I could never find any mention of Samson the Sadducee Strangler in the NWT. Does this make me a poor student or is it from a different translation?

after managing a successful fade, the long thread started by nvrgnbk made me think a bit.
up until then, i maintained a fairly hardline stance that the borg would need to d/f me if they really wanted me "out".
but then, i began to consider a few things.
You ask some excellent questions there mate, and like you Ive managed a successful fade. However I got to thinking that if I gibbed it, then that would in fact mess up the numbers and I would go down in history as one of the few to have taken control of my life and beat them to it lol. So why should I give them the satisfaction. My letter is also written and will be posted today. However, mine is a heap less literate.
I wish you well my friend

i`m not new here, ive been cruising for a few months now, i`m about to send in a letter to da myself.
6 months ago, that would have been a scary prospect, but reading this site on a regular basis has given me the courage to pull my plug.
i`d go quietly, but i want to muck up the numbers lol.... anyway on the subject of strange talks, i`ll never forget when i was a ms, and me and another ms had a "bet" the plan was to see who could get in as many song titles into their 15 min item, or even better a service meeting item...i`m proud to say i got 7 smiths song titles in and later went on to record 12 elvis titles in a service meeting item.
And then theres the time I tried to dissuade all the congregation to stop contributing, because I was able to quote from the very first Watchtower from 1877? where it said that God would want the work to be done for free, and that he wouldnt want us to be charged for it (or words to the effect of).
Went down like a lead balloon oooooooops

..yup, just want to say hi to you all.. i m a new "face" in your territory..so far!
all the way from scandinavia..seems like there are most north americans here, but hopefully i am welcome anyways ;).
soon to be 30 year old (!
Hi Jen and welcome...Don`t worry about a thing. This board will really help you along the road to normality. I too am a cast away from the island of borg., and with it being a mind controlling cult, can take some time to break free. But your in good hands here ...Welcome once again..
Uncle Gravy
Welcome to the board Dave. Glad to meet you. One of the most confusing aspects to the borg is the DFing policy. You get shunned by everyone you once knew, but if you where a bad, bad, worldy person they would spend inordinate amounts of time trying to convert you!!! Strange

all of this talk about bojangles chicken has got me in the mood for a food related topic, so here it is.. .
is there any food dishes or style of cooking that is unique to your region?.
growing up in dayton ohio, i have a love affair for "dayton style" pizza, this is pizza that is thin crust, cut in squares, and they use diced meats and veggies, along with provolone cheese.
Here in blighty, coffin dodgers regularly enjoy the well known delicacy of tripe and onions. yum...
Then theres the very popular black pudding and who can forgey out Northern neighbours with their haggis..
