  have you heard about a letter for all congregations announced next new change in wts politics?.

  in letter is information that the time for the public talk will be reduced to 30 minutes.. does anyone have a copy?

  Well, I'va made it through Friday.....

  so i have the friday of the district assembly behind me.

  i have learned;.

  i need to cancel my cable so i can study more and read the bible more and have less temptation to buy "new toys"i need to sell my house and buy an ol' fixer upper so my wife can stop working and pioneeri need to sell all my "toys" and my cari need to trust the fds implicitly because jehovah does.i need to pray more, study more, preach more, go to more meetings, etc.

  What if you're missing the purpose?

  for those of you who espouse the philosophy that one needs to discard who we "think" we are and embrace the "reality" of who we really are, what if, there is a divine purpose to our miniscule existence in the here and now and that purpose is to experience the pull of opposite forces (duality), and you are missing it by not allowing yourself to experience the ego self?

  what if you are missing the whole purpose of this pull of pain and joy by trying to suppress it or place yourself outside of it?

  the below is a short story sent to me by a friend and it is an example of what i'm inferring.

  Nice story, but instead of "God's way", could it have been nature's way? The butterfly was not fully formed. The man interrupted and stunted it's developement. Why does god have to enter the equation?

  Why do we have to have a purpose dictated by a supreme being? Why can't we make our own purpose based on our individual strenghths and taste? Why can't we live and learn and experience life as it unfolds?

  what's the point

  so my husband's trial starts july 23 and even though logic tells me it won't happen, i'm terrified that some nice jury will say "oh you poor thing, meth made you try to kill your wife, and i'm sure the cop you tried to kill understands, and the fact that they had to shoot you and taser twice and then five cops jumped you is punishment enough.

  " if they turn him loose the first thing he will do is come and kill me.

  and my friends and the cops and my shrink all say they'll protect me so i can see the scenario: "hi hubby, let me make you a cup of coffee while i call the cops and my friends and my shrink who has personally promised to come and kick your ass.

  Think positively hortensia. And stay strong. You've gotten this far, be proud of yorself.

  Do be careful though, if he does get off. Get all the protection you can, and don't take any chances.

  Last week I started the "do you ever wonder what people here look like?" thread. A lot of you responded and many even posted pics. It was great to see you guys, but that was not really my intent. It was more of an imagination exercise based on avatars (why has my font changed???).

  Anyway, based on people's choice of names, do you ever wonder things about them? Like, is purps' sofa really purple? Is blondie really blond, or just a die hard Debra Harry fan? Is willyloman a salesman? Is warlock into the dark arts or just a Harry Potter fan? Does wac wear "tiddy whiteys" all the time?

  What do you guys wonder about the rest of us?
