Anti Witnessing, do you do it?
by bikerchic intoday i was at a laundry mat and saw several jw mags and tracts.
i threw them all away in the trash can!.
i also tell everyone i have an opportunity about being in a cult, the jw's and have had many interesting conversations.

WTS Idea of "Prophecy" Do You Find This Ridiculous???

the wts view is that we don't understand bible prophecy until after it is fulfilled.
thus their excuse for mis-understanding what was going to happen in 1876, 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975, etc.

Well, UnSeeker- I guess the prophecies about the Kingdom mean squat to you- after all the Early Christians- and later Christians (including US) all expected it in THEIR time. "Keep Close in mind the Day of the Lord" as the KJV reads.
When distressing things start to happen, the prophecies will come to mind- and we will be encouraged & empowered! But that must be meaningless you you who knows all!
Bless us with your enlightened superior understanding of the prophecy of Armageddon!

Anyone recall the WTS's crazy notions about the literal "heart"?
by fahrvegnugen inback in my dub days, i used to make copies of all the old recorded talks i could get my hands on.
in the process i was surprised to come across several talks in which the "faithful slave" tried to make the case that all the scriptures talking about the "heart" were not figurative, but referred to one's literal heart--the organ itself!
as i recall, they even incorporated some pseudo-scientific quotes as "proof" that the heart could effect your thoughts and motivations.

Need LOGICAL PRESENTATION that FDS is BS- talk w/2 elders wanting to help
by AWAKE&WATCHING inmy best friend showed up where i work to see what's going on with me.
i haven't called her since she told an elder at my hall that i was falling out of the truth, little does she know i've fallen and i don't want to get up.. i told her i had now done my research and i absolutely don't believe it.
she said she didn't want to hear my apostate stuff.

Does your church- or any of the others- help people know who the God & Father of Christ is- the ONLY True God? Do they even know what the Kingdom IS? Do they tell the truth about Hell & the soul- or the standard Hellfire Drivel? Do they reveal the beautiful purpose of God to have the meek inherit the Earth- or the standard Earth-to-be-destroyed-all go to-Heaven drivel? Etc,etc.etc!
Yes- we make a lotta mistakes! Your people don't, I take it! What Glorious Church do you cling to with such Pious Arrogance? Sounds Baptist, to me!

I finally took my stand.
by Orgull ini just missed two meetings for the first time in five years.. this past week i went "on vacation", housesitting for relatives nearby.
i told my bookstudy overseer i'd be "away", even though i was only a twenty minute drive from the kingdom hall.
i spent the entire week away from my insane family, away from the meetings and away from my "brothers and sisters".. it felt great.. coming home felt... not so great.. but the first brick in my fade has been laid.

Eclipse, take a close look at those religions!
All religion teaches some good things- I'm referring to the vast overview of scripture. You can find excerts of good principles in almost any religion- but the WRONG ones are there, too- such as loose conduct, blind belief in the Leaders, homosexuality, etc.
This is nowhere in scripture.

If all in the Bible's ignored but the virtues it has REVEALED and extolled- that would be enough to endear it to you!
Stop and think of how corrupt the world would be now if the Bible never existed, if Christ never taught!

Ask them if they are slaves of Christ. Then ask if they are Faithful and Discreet!
Yet keep in mind that despite flaws & mistakes, we (JWs) are the ONLY ones who obey Christ's command to preach the Good News of God's Kingdom, and worship his God & Father!
Every person has faults- groups of people have MANY faults. It's the objective, sincerity & standards that count!
