I can't reach a definite verdict on this tragedy (as yet) as I don't know what happened before, and there's an editing cut part way through.
But from the evidence I can see, it's a quite premature and unnecessary use of force by a bunch of cops on a person who is not wholly compliant, apparently frustrated by earlier interactions with cops - but is unthreatening, peaceable, reasonable and non-violent.
It's fair to comment that they clearly did not expect this appalling result. But the man was so evidently unfit that it should have made them exercise restraint.
The cop with the "99" top should be under arrest. He caught the victim unawares from the rear in a choke hold.
Were these cops bullied at school? Maybe by black people?

wow, i never saw that being possible.. .
he just got himself a computer and was able to get internet in a remote location where he is serving as an elder with my mom (where the need is great) i was happy to see how he was able to send me a few notes saying hi and i was able to share some pictures of my wife and family, etc.. .

As we are not caught in the confines of Watchtowerinsanity, we do not all have to semi-blindly conform to the same beliefs "or else".
A waste to agree on everything, too, IMO. A healthy difference of opinion, accompanied by tolerance and respect for the reasonable views of others, is much more productive and likely to result in happiness in life.
I keep an open mind on most things, but not so open that the wind blows in one ear and out t'other. Hey, I have no incontrovertible proof that I exist.
Here, the questions raised are complex. If we take it that "thought crime" is not a crime, then drawing the line is problematic.
I know where I've drawn my own line between "right" and "wrong" - and it is drawn pretty harshly by me, to the extent that when merely showing friendliness to others' kids (having zero interest in kids in any, even remotely, sexual way) I consider whether it could possibly be misconstrued, let alone cause harm.
Where do others draw the line? Where would I like them to? Where does society and the law draw the line? All good questions.
I do say, and usually irrespective of ages, that where one party is in a position of authority over the other, to use that towards any sexual end is absolutely wrong.
Where exactly did Dawkins go wrong, KateWild? Perhaps I missed something.

Asking for apologies is not really appropriate Cofty. If someone is sincere they don't need to be asked, if you ask for an apology it's not sincere. Do you apologise if someone asks for an apology Cofty?
He has lost sight of Matt. 7:3-5. He started a thread calling for my shunning, if not banning, and then ran away when my friends and supporters began crawling out of the woodwork... I'm not holding my breath for an apology, either, hahaha. Life's far too short for all this nonsense.

by moley ini was recently approached by a couple of borg drones while i was walking my dog, and i thought why not, may plant a seed or two (how wrong was i).
there was no real logic to what they were saying but as i was in the local park the conversation started to veer to how wonderful nature was and how this was the work of a wonderful creator.
i did not let on i was a former witness and let them continue with their fairy tale of creation and how the vast multitude of animals shows a loving god at work blah blah blah...... but i digress, the converastion then turned to how evolution was false.. apparently to earth is only a few thousand years old, so i mentioned about the burgess shale, to be met with blank stares.

Were johos amenable to logic, one would say that given that by their beliefs Satan is definitely (at least for the present) more powerful than "god", it makes good sense to worship Satan for the time being, and only switch when the end is truly close.
