  i will be the first to admit a rabid fascination with a certain picture....... back when i was about 7, i stumbled across the most fascinating picture in all of dubdom....... are you holding your breath?!?!?.

  it was in the evolution or creation book....the picture of the black, african tribal woman with that huge freakin plate in her lip!.

  However, you are actually CORRECT. Statistical terminology does not follow algebraic common sense, and your example is termed an example of "exponential growth". However, it is more exactly called "geometric growth" (a subset of "exponential growth" patterns)- a sum population of humans cannot have non-integer values (half-a-brain-only elders notwithstanding).

  just a short question which probably was raised before.. the favorite argument of creationists: since there is such abundant complexity in the world around us and within us - doesn't this point point to design and therefore a designer (i.e.

  Thank you. Note that in the 1930s, many great physicists thought that they would imminently have the whole subject pretty much wrapped up, and in another ten years or so it would be dead as a research area.

  Flood Legends "Proof" of Global Flood...

  the march 1, 2002 watchtower contains a couple of articles on noah's flood and the application of this legend to "our day".

  thrust of the articles is first to show that the flood was a real, earthwide event, and then to scare ignorant readers into accepting the jw message by claiming that our world is about to undergo a similar divine punishment.

  pretty standard fare for long time jw observers.. in the past the watchtower society has published extensive material purporting to show that a global flood occurred a few thousand years ago.
