Leolaila...excellent explanation of the thought process Adam and Eve might have had during the early times in their lives. It certainly seems during a reading of Genesis there is very little regarding the thought-process or maturity of either Adam or Eve, leaving one to wonder why it is so brief in explaining the events leading from their creation to their disobedience. It begs the question of whether their understanding of death was based on what they might have seen in the life cycles of animals or if they had a realization of a specific life span for themselves.
I think the point my relative was trying to make was that God created man to live forever on earth, and thus there would have been no concept of an afterlfe at the beginning.
