DPL...I'm glad you found C of C a good read, and more importantly, an honest read. Ray's follow up book, In Search of Christian Freedom, goes into a bit more depth and focuses on how we can come to enjoy true freedom outside of legalism. It is definitely worth your time to get and read as well...

I would discreetly ask him what he wants...is "reaching out" what he has as a goal? It is always difficult to get too involved in a minor's life, but it certainly can't hurt to ask him what he wants. Subtle planting of seeds can be very effective.
I'm with you on the child labor law violation...I don't think that type of work is typically legal for a 15 y/o...I guess the real question would be, is he getting paid for employment or is he "helping" his dad?

Lying about divorce reason to be allowed to re-marry
by Big Softie ini know my view on this but would be interested to see what anyone else thinks.. .
at a court hearing recently my estranged wife, who left me (i'm not jw) asked me if i would be prepared to lie to her elders and state that i had committed adultery (i didn't) so that she would be allowed to "get on in her faith".
this from a woman who before she left got intimate (emotionally, i'm not sure about physically) with two "sisters", one of whom took to buying her large bunches of red roses and basicaly furnished her new house for her.. now my view is that she has clearly stated and put in writing that the marriage ended because of my unreasonable behaviour (i.e.
