by MUNKAFATS inwe all have different talents etc and as ive never been a witness just read their books why is it that we have 3 kids and our youngest has a gifted mathmatical mind (teacher says hes in the top %2 of the population at 5 years old ) .
would the jw then say this is from satan ?
and if not then why could he not use it to his greater good , my question isnt about jw doctrine , i just think about this when jw come to visit me as its got to be from somewhere ??

well ive found my old (ex) jw friend
by MUNKAFATS inive been looking for her for ages , when we were at school she was a jw and so nice , then when i was about 26 i bumped into her again and i didnt like what i saw , i asked her what happened and she said she had found drugs , that was the last time i saw her (i was very dissappointed),anyway she then dissappeared again so i assumed she had gone back to being a jw , but ive found her this morning(im 38 now) , ive spoken to her and she says that she still believes but doesnt go to meetings etc but that her parents are still in although her parents still have just as much contact with her, i brought up this disassociating thing with her and she said her parents wouldnt do that as they love her to much .
i also spoke to her about this site and others , she says she never really thought about sites like this one , i got the feeling she doesnt want to know or is to scared to find out more although she says the only reason that she left the "truth" was because she hit puberty , all in all she only had good things to say to me about the org and that she had some really great times but that she believes you dont have to be in to be saved , im glad ive found her as we have traded numbers and will keep in touch , im not a jw but was just reading their books (not actually having a formal bible study) and it will be great to talk to someone who has seen both sides , its more personal as ive never been good a letters

no a witness never told me that , its just one of the many doubts i have about being a jw , i simply meant when i posted this question that if we were to spend our time witnessing them why were we not given these gifts in the new world

ok but how would a gifted guitar player etc help in the org ? the way i see it is if we were to have these talents they would be in the "new world" so it made me doubt the org as we are given them now!!

dont even their lawyers have to have brains ? i didnt even know they needed lawyers until coming across sites like this , i feel that if we were to all serve in the jw then why were we given these talents at all!!!

Witness "Terminology"
by Rubens ini find it interesting reading posts from ex-witnesses or those that are slipping away and yet the terminology is still brain-washed into us.
i mean, i've managed to stop using the terms myself.
sometimes i might catch myself using the term "the truth" or "brother" or "sister", but i quickly correct myself.. the fact is for me, as much as i agree with a lot of their values and beliefs, those people were not my "brothers and sisters" nor was the organization "the truth".

im not an ex jw or a current one , was an 'interested one" (theres that terminology) until i googled jw and found sites like this , anyway ive never been comfortable with calling people sister , brother etc, it just felt like brainwashing to me , when my jw friend visited i felt like saying cant you just call her or him by their given names

thanks everyone , mysterious has sent the 2001? to me , takes a bit of reading huh? a pity i couldnt get hold of the earlier one though , well im off to vacume etc with my music up extremely loud (if you read any of my posts you'd know that my jw friends said its not a good idea to incite people to party with me , i live rurally)
