I have not been to meetings in about seven years. What's up with not doing yoga?

Whenever he calls to see our boys he always wants to stop by our house, he doesn't invite us to his. Just wondering if he's not supposed to.

Stop college or keep plugging on?...opinions please.
by FreedomFrog inhere's my situation...i'm doing college online because i can't very well do college the traditional way with a 2 year old.
anyway, my computer has been acting really funny and it's not reliable anymore.
my ex worked on it for almost 4 hours and the darn thing still crashes saying my "virtual" memory is too low.

I know when I was in college taking online courses were alot more, especially the books. If there is a college in your town maybe you should think about putting you daughter in the daycare there (they usually have one) and actually going to classes. It might work out to be less $$$.

JWs and Love towards their families
by R.F. inthis is something that just popped in my mind suddenly.. but i was thinking about over the years the many comments of jws about loved ones.
for instance, one sister was speaking of her disgust with her children not accepting the "truth".
she gladly tells anyone of what she told them; that if they don't accept it before armageddon that it's too bad.

It has always amazed me that they will spend so much time going door to door and talking to strangers, but when I quit going to meetings only ONE person called me to talk about it. I was raised a JW and have many relatives and long time aquaintances (obviously not friends) who are witnesses I had been a full time pioneer. I felt the love-NOT!

'..simply for a contribution to cover the printing cost of the magazines...
by Gill indo you remember when we used to ask for a 'contribution that covers the printing cost' for the mags?.
was that ever the real cost of printing the mags?
afterall, we had to pay for the wretched things when we collected them, so was the wt society already making a profit from us foolish sheep which we then tried to recoup from the unsuspecting public.. were we conned?

Thanks. I'm just wondering of those who did write a letter- what their motivation was? It would be a huge deal for me as my parents and grandparents and greatgrandparents are witnesses, Though non of my siblings are witnesses and were never baptized.

I'm new to this forum. I was raised a JW by 3rd generation witnesses. Most of my relatives are witnesses. I married my husband also a witness and we together decided it wasn't for us about three years into our marriage. Three years ago my FIL who is an elder decided to start talking to us again after five blissful years of him not. I personally can't STAND him. He told my husband they could have a relationship as long as he never disassociated himself(by writing a letter). I always feel like I would never write a letter- their rule or expectation if you leave them- not mine, the same way that I try to avoid using their lingo- wordly, the Truth, etc. etc. But sometimes I'm tempted just so I wouldn't have to deal with his outrageous hipocrisy. I noticed people here have written letters and wanted to know about your thought process on it.

Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?
by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.
what about the thousands that don't get caught?

My best friends sister was molested by an elder. Her dad worked in his restaurant. When she went to him about it later (10 years or so) he gave her money to not say anything. Sad.
