I'm an ex-jw, by birth and not by choice (I would have never chosen to be part of it), and im not into paganism. I simply hate religion, as a whole. I don't really pin that hatred on any ONE religion, I just simply hate religion. Religion has ruined some of the best parts of my life, the only one life I know I have, and I simply won't let it ruin anything else. I refuse to have anything to do with ANY religion, ever again in my life. Religion does NOT help society, it does NOT help the world. It only encourages segregation and is a plague that fights AGAINST the unity of the human race. SORRY JW'S, THE ENTIRE WORLD BEING JW'S IS NOT UNITY...ITS GENOCIDE. If god is indeed loving, and indeed wants us all to think for himself, he wouldn't want the entire world to be forced into being JW's.

The Watchtower July 1 Questions From Readers - Each one decides for himself
by garybuss inthe watchtower july 1 questions from readers.
then are we to conclude that jehovah's witnesses oppose the people's use of transfusions?.
that would be a wrong conclusion.

Saying that JW's can 'decide for themselves' is BS. The position they're put in is like a parent telling his/her child that they can do what they want, but they'll be very dissapointed if they chose one of the two paths in front of them. Obviously no real dedicated witness is going to vouch to go ahead with the transfusion. With that said, the one thing I do like about the JW religion is the no-blood rule. I honestly believe many, many lives can be saved if doctors would open up to non-blood practices when performing operations.

So I attended the District Convention today.
by R.F. inthis is my first dc with the blinders removed.
it seemed strange for some reason now, maybe my view of the org now is why.
today was super boring this time for me since i wasn't ignorant of the crap anymore, but i was suprised, that the "faithful and discreet slave" was hardly mentioned throughout the day.

I find it interesting that you mention the 'faithful and discreet slave.' I was born into a witness family and brainwashed for 12+ years before figuring out things for myself. One of the things that hit me the hardest was that whole 'faithful and discreet slave' thing...honestly, the bible *CLEARLY* says to listen to God and not men, yet the entire religion is lead by a group of MEN. They teach one thing, then expect everyone to do another. How can you follow the direction of the bible which clearly states to listen to God and not men, then listen to everything the 'faithful and discreet slave' tells you to do? What basis do you have? The fact that THEY SAY that they're inspired by God and guided by him? If you believe that...you're listening to men, and not God. I don't know about any of you, but I sure haven't seen any evidence of God saying that these people in New York are indeed disciples of his and the world should do exactly what they say.
