Because there are to many with life experiences, to many with the same story, to many that have done their research from sites on the net (or library) that speak truth, they can't sue truth, because the truth won't set them free.

Removing Apostate Lies from the Internet with Legal Action...why not?
by Gill inif a lot of the negative experiences and comments about the watchtower bible and tract society and jehovah's witnesses on the internet really was all apostate lies, surely the wt society would have a legal right to take such supposed slanderers to court and sue to have the information removed.. they were able to remove quotes site just for repeating what they themselves had said.
why do they not take the same action with regard to information they insist is just apostate lies?.

Is interpretation of dreams divination?
by dmouse ini've just watched the old 'joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat' on dvd and i'm a bit confused.. basically, what is the societies viewpoint, and more importantly, the scriptural viewpoint, on interpreting dreams - or using them to predict future events?.
i'm sure the society would look down on anyone saying he had dreams that came true.
yet the bible is full of such instances.

JWs vs. Jesus Christ
by R.F. inchoosing life made a statement in another thread saying that just mentioning jesus too much will get you a concerned look from other jws.
i thought "oh how true that is!
" the thing that is intriguing to me is the fact jws are so quick to state that they are the closest thing to first century christianity.

Because JW don't worship Jesus, (Mth 6:9) they worship Jehovah, which they believe to be the father of Jesus, who came to die as a ransom willingly, to show not only love for the world of mankind but also to his father Jehovah God, they believe that Jesus is the only means through which to approach God in prayer, that through him their is no salvation, but they do not prayer to Jesus or in any hold him in a superior position, every one is subordinate to the father including Jesus. Also that Jesus Christ came to vindicate Jehovah's name as a perfect person and gained for every one what Adam lost, so that all may be alive through Jesus and death is to be swolled up for every more.
Though he is king of God's kingdom he is their only because he is placed their by Jehovah. So as said to the average JW Jehovah is the higher authority above every other, as no one was created before him, and through Christ all things were created (Col 12: 15-17 ASV), therefore Jesus is the only direct creation of Jehovah and therefore only Jehovah deserves to be worshiped.

I've been studying with JW's for a few months..
by MichaelM ini've been studying with the jw's for a few months and i've attended a few meetings but things are feeling somewhat strange...i don't quite get the jist of things but i feel that i'm learning more of what the watchtower teachers and less of what the bible actually says.. i never open my bible.. i'm always reading the watchtower pamphlets.
i really like the people i've met in the congregation and the guy thats been doing the studies with me has been an awesome friend.. .
but i'm just having some issues.. i mean.. they translated their own bible to suit their own doctrines it seems.

When I came back last year that was one of the things I asked and my sister said they changed their thoughts on that and don't teach it anymore, the answer being that it is impossible to reach everyone before the end so Jehovah will judge their hearts at arma. Will scout around for any w/t that says it.
It is true as I have used this in front of other witnesses and at the doors, when the householder bought it up it was said "no we don't teach that, it is up to God to judge the heart condition" so it is definatetly a changed view.

blondie...what do they hope to gain by staying, if they have invested so much materially I mean...I know many publishers that have cut down on work to pioneer, they to have invested so much also, but they can leave the pioneering and they are not xcomunicated.
What do the elders have to lose...their position which takes up a lot of time, prestiege being an elder, losing control, all these things to me are not worth the hassle, many an elder have stepped down or been put down and live quiet ok and no problems once they get the head out of their ass, seems to be ok for them.

jws think that everyone is going to die at armageddon unless they're a jw. god will kill everyone. it's a form a racism, not apparent until you're in for a while....and then it's so common-speak it won't feel like racism.
Sorry bout' that, no they have changed that view also, they don't believe everyone that is a JW will die at arma....so kind of them isn't it. I have met some really horrible people in the org, and have some wonderful kind and loving people that never put the JW down, but have nothing in common with them. Figure....
Also, what I noticed when being out for 17yrs then coming back it that the LOVE which is suppose to be the identifiying mark of a christian and the JW's will brag how they stand out above all in this.. is bull, they are colder than ever before, the control tactis the turning their head on one thing and not the other is cleary hypocritical. I have learnt so much coming back, and before I ever came on this site.
So called apostates dont' have to really do much to turn anyone against the WTBTS, they are doing and have been doing a marvelous job themselves, it's only since the net I and many others have been able to SEE the truth within the troof.

The WTS sounds more and more like strickly a business to me.....
by R.F. inthere was yet another disfellowshipping going in my congo announce the other night.
that makes 6 i believe now, 5 i'm sure of that have been dfed in the past year or so in my congo alone, and they don't seem to be making any effort towards reinstatement.
i know the reasons behind all those, that's why i know they were dfed and not daed.

You are absolutely right that the organisation is not geared to help the weak, only to judge and 'fire' them like a ruthless business manager.
As I put on another thread, once I stopped regular pioneering they sent me a letter asking me to return all litertature, (they used to give it cheeper to the pioneers) I threw them out, really no thank sister for you're years of dedication and pioneering at my expence, the literature I had left would have worth at most, $7..now if that isn't buisness!
I couldn't help but see the petiness in this at the time, but still later on went back into the troof, (not pioneering) so I meed urgent mind help.....

An Elder Just Knocked on My Door
by DoodleBearRae ini didn't bother to answer.
it's probably because i told my ex last week that i will personally sue the individual elders if they meet with my daughter again to counsel her without my parental consent.
we have joint custody and that means they need joint parental consent to counsel a minor.. i am filing for sole custody of our 12 year old daughter and will be serving him with the legal paperwork next week.

I think they have a hide coming around uninvited, when some b/s spotted me in the street before last years memorial, the brother told this elder about me, and they both came around uninvited bashing on my door, he bashed so loud it sounded like the police hunting for a murder suspicion or something, I never opened the door, but they came back the next afternoon and the same thing, I looked out the peep hole and one had his ear up against the door the other was watching the him. I opened the door and had a diplomatic go at them for smashing on my door, he said thought you may be in another room and couldn't hear, as if.......
I asked a few questions especially about the sexual abuse cases, and one brother said, we don't even have the two witness law any more, that has been stoped, I thought wooppeee, what about the years they had it giving the green light to all those sicko's to abuse their own kids and others, no excuse.
He said all my problems were in my head.....yeah and his to but for different reasons.
Cheers
