  the bible students in 1918 numbered very few, fewer than 6,000. within three years, the number tripled.. the "intriguing subject" they proclaimed from 1918 through 1922 was "millions now living will never die.

  " upwards of 70,000 attended to hear this message proclaimed in germany alone.

  the talk series had a longer title, "the world has endedmillions now living will never die.

  The old light was never light because the new light proved it and as the light gets the brighter the new light that showed the old light to be no light at all will become itself defunct, then when the new light sheeds forth even more light than the defunct light that the new light made defunct will itself become defunct as another brighter light beems down from the tower to sheed a glowing light that has never been seen before and all the old light and the defuct lights will become darker than the orginal old light as we beem me up scotty.

  maybe some have asked questions about it, the new lot in the truth many not understand its wrong to study or read other litriture besides the societys stuff, I was always told that it was a no no.

  some may have put others in for learning hebrew or greek. I think it is another way for the elders and the toffy r/f to spy on others and report ones they think are reading other stuff or learning ancient languages. the definate NO was what caught my eye rather than the bulk of the letter.

  got a feeling this could just be the start of a lot of no no's. and probably has more to do with weeding out potentional apostates or free thinkers.

  I wonder if this includes studying history, a close family member of mine studys aramaic and hebrew and greek is a witness and he is a scholor and says that the NWT is not a bad translation.

  this is nothing new, the only thing added to this is the learning of hebrew and greek, and to assume that those learning these languages just to prove the NWT wrong is so judgemental, none of their business what anyone reads or wants to study.

  I was told 30 yrs ago that reading other litriture other than WT stuff was a no no.

  it seems to me that many jws who leave are so anti-religion because of their jw indoctrinations that they rarely investigate much outside of their cultural up bringing..... so how many here have done more than read about things like buddhism, hinduism, new age, etc... actually lived these alternatives rather than just glanced their way?.

  No not other religions.....but more into spiritual awakenings. To the average JW it is a religion. and when saying to them that I dont believe in religion they are stunned. I think that is what is going on, although they go around and preach anti relgion they are religious. I'm not and I think that is what most of us on this forum are or arent relgious, we are spiritual.

  Come to terms with that and you and me are on our or my way to getting it right.

  More Evidence that "666" refers to United Nations

  a new book claims that the number 666 refers to the united nations through the name "haaretz haqaturim", which means "the nations of the united ones.

  " commonly known as the number of the beast, the number 666 is from the thirteenth chapter of the book of revelation in the christian bible where verse 18 reads: .

  The WT has always stated that the UN is the "Scarlet Colored Beast" from the Revelation book.

  The have also always stated that any affiliation with this "Beast" will constitute a gross sin against the Almighty Jehovah.

  These are the Watchtower's own words.

  Yet they chose to ignore their own words. They committed adultery with the beast.

  This makes them guilty of apostacy, bestiality, fornication,etc.

  They never apologized, never repented, but chose to sweep their gross sins under the carpet.

  in several talks about "give more to the truth until you die etc" we were asked who gave more the pig or the chicken?.

  when you were in da truth did you give 100%.
