How many dubbers that are old that are dark on the web while their kids are all over it. I have one family member who said they wish that mom was on Facebook so she could get in on photos and comments, and here sister said that she did not want to lose her everlasting life over the internet. This seems to be a theme for many older dubs. -

You can very well be DFed for not believing. If they ask you if you think that the org is the mouth piece for god on earth and you say no, you can very well be DFed for not believing. They may not come after you if you keep it quit but if they think you don't believe they can ask questions designed to get you to say you do not believe then if there are two of them they have what they need. Don't give them the ammo, make them work for it. -

I used to think that 7 million JWs was a large number
by dogon inthen i saw a stat that made me think differently.
there are 7 million practicing voodoo religion world wide.
about the same as jws, and the big thing is that they do not at all go out and try to convert people at all, not one pamphlet not one tract no door to door calls, phone calls nothing nada.

About the same as JWs, and the big thing is that they do not at all go out and try to convert people at all, not one pamphlet not one tract no door to door calls, phone calls nothing nada. So I thought how many JWs would there be if none of them went from door to door or tried so hard to keep people from leaving with threats and intimidation. It makes me think that the religion is much more vulnerable then I had previously thought. How many Voodoo members would there be if they practiced half as much time trying to get new cult members as the JWs?

WT Doctrine, Population rather than Generation
by VM44 inthe watchtower has forced a rather strange interpretation of the word "generation" in order to keep their doctrinal beliefs concerning the year 1914 consistent with the words of jesus "this generation will not pass...".
however, the watchtower's "overlapping" definition of the word generation is strange and unnatural to common use.
according to the watchtower, a grandfather, son, and grandson all living at the same time would make up a single generation.

The fact is simple, Generation as Jesus used it or is writen to have used it, was as a time limit. The question was what will be the sign of the second coming, Jesus said this generation shall not pass away before all these things occur. If he meant that fucking stupid deffinition given by the cult it would be absolutly meaningless.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses a Cult? (alternate title: Balls, Cuts, and Dudes - Oh My!)
by cognisonance inoh my... from their jw.org site:.
no, jehovahs witnesses are not a cult.. .
nice rebuttal to the question.

They are a cult. They use mental mind control scare tacticts to scare people into not questioning, they use the idea that they alone have truth and if you look anywhere else you will be sucked in by evil. They isolate the member within society by not allowing them to associate outside of work or school with any non believers. Cult fuck yes they are a cult.

Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(
by BU2B inone of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.
as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.
i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

This shit has been going on for decades. I remember back in the 80s one sister Marie Meeks in Arcadia had a kid named Kimberly, she like the smurfs. They brought her to KH one Thursday night in smruf PJs. Jesus Christ on a popcicle stick, I thought they were going to lynch her. One of the guys I hung with Bill Traver had a smurf pin he wore on the back side of his lapel hidden in silent protest. LOL
