  New way of preacing?

  i have noticed that in florida at least i see at every flea market and or town square jws sitting drinking coffee with a table and a couple of sandwich signs with watchtowers and awakes doing nothing more than playing on their phones and or talking to each other.

  i have not yet seen anyone going up to them and engaging them but i bet they are counting time.

  what a cheat.

  What to say to JWs at a funeral

  my father passed away this week.

  we are going to have a funeral for him.

  he was not a witness for many years but a lot of his family is still associated.

  Thanks for the thoughts, my temper is what I am working on before we have the get together. My dads sister is putting it on and she is disfellowshipped. So it would only be close relatives that would even show up. I have to just put on a smile and walk away if someone uses it to try to "reach" me. My mother was still in the cult when she passed back in 2000 and I really had to bite my tongue when they used her funeral at a hall as a recruiting tool.

  Fortunately dad left the cult years before mom died so its not a big problem, but I have a couple of close relatives who are very brain washed. I guess I should look at it as not a time nor place "Community Center" to do my usual speech like when they come to the door knocking. I will work on my Zen mental sand garden if anyone says anything. Thanks for the thoughts.

  My father passed away this week. We are going to have a funeral for him. He was not a Witness for many years but a lot of his family is still associated. I was wondering what I should do in preparation if I get the whole he has the hope of the resurrection. I don't really want to start a thing at a wake. I was hoping I could get some ideas on how to prepare for this so I just don't cause a thing.

  continuing my posting to the blind, deaf, & conventionally minded ... you may be out of the jw's but you are still thinking in a box.. now that russia is back it is clear why powerful countries are wary of doing battle with it.

  putin is getting his way.. sorry, ukraine, you can't beat putin - bloomberg view.

  Do Dubbers hate the internet?

  i know many of the young seem to be on it, but i also know many of the old dubbers seem to distrust it and think it leads to bad outcomes.

  how many dubbers that are old that are dark on the web while their kids are all over it.

I have one family member who said they wish that mom was on Facebook so she could get in on photos and comments,and here sister said that she did not want to lose her everlasting life over the internet. This seems to be a theme for many older dubs.

  not being a witness ( ubm here ) i think everyone has known a jw kid and at a certain age " my mommy won't let me play with you ".

  I was raised in the cult so it was mandatory I have no friends but cult members from the beginning. This cult is so destructive its crazy.

  You can very well be DFed for not believing. If they ask you if you think that the org is the mouth piece for god on earth and you say no, you can very well be DFed for not believing. They may not come after you if you keep it quit but if they think you don't believe they can ask questions designed to get you to say you do not believe then if there are two of them they have what they need. Don't give them the ammo, make them work for it.

  Need a 1961 green JW bible.

  i have a family member that will not believe that the jws put a dinosaur in the front cover of thier bible.

  i am looking for a copy that has that map inside front cover with the raptor.

  there are 7 million practicing voodoo religion world wide.

  about the same as jws, and the big thing is that they do not at all go out and try to convert people at all, not one pamphlet not one tract no door to door calls, phone calls nothing nada.

About the same as JWs, and the big thing is that they do not at all go out and try to convert people at all, not one pamphlet not one tract no door to door calls, phone calls nothing nada. So I thought how many JWs would there be if none of them went from door to door or tried so hard to keep people from leaving with threats and intimidation. It makes me think that the religion is much more vulnerable then I had previously thought. How many Voodoo members would there be if they practiced half as much time trying to get new cult members as the JWs?
