  Embarrasing Moments

  just so certain ladies do not feel alone in cringedom i will confess my red-cheekers !.

  i was a well-developed 15 yr old getting too volupteous for my school uniform ( ok too fat then) and the zip had bust on my only school skirt.

  my mum replaced it using an old zip from another garment which happened to be quite a bit longer than a normal skirt zip.an unmarried brother came to visit one morning and was sat in our living room having a cuppa while i was frantically getting ready for school.

  Yep. It's always to the bashful ones the worst stuff happens.

  I was so introverted in grade school, I was almost not even there. And I was in love with my second grade teacher, Miss Carter, beautiful blond just out of school.

  And in the restroom one morning I, gulp, got my little seven year-old talleywhacker caught in my zipper and - you guessed it - the other dolts in the bathroom retrieved Ms. Carter to come in and free my bleeding little nubbin from my zipper. If embarrassment could cause death, I'd have never seen the third grade.

  just finished reading the august 1, 2001 watchtower.

  the second study article is entitled how to make your advancement manifest.

  well, after quoting ephesians 4:11-14, heres what paragraphs 8 and 9 advise:first, since oneness is to be observed, a mature christian must be in unity and full harmony with fellow believers as far as faith and knowledge are concerned.

  Bulger killers release - just?

  with the news that the killers of jamie bulger have been released, it would be interesting to know how people feel.. from the mcveigh thread it seems that many americans believe the death penalty would have been appropriate.. i do not know whether many in the us know of the case in britain of a 2 year old being tortured and murdered by two 10 year olds.

  but now 8 years later they have been released.. i know of the arguments that they have been rehabilitated since killing jamie bulger.....but is this really justice?

  Seeker, in the off chance you were also addressing me, I have stated my opinion on the matter and I really don't care to debate it; characterize it as you will. I abandoned long ago the idea that a presentation of facts to a person suffering liberalism was in any way productive, or other than a sheer waste of time. The only way to win that kinda game with a liberal is to refuse to play.

  Nothing personal you understand. We seem to have agreed in the past on a number of other topics. 9 outta 10 ain't bad.

  Jan, I must say that in my opinion your response regarding the two boys that murdered that child is little more than standard psychobabble, is utterly offensive, and worth what we paid for it. I don't think you have the slightest idea what you're talking about - not in terms of anything approaching a firm grip on the obvious. That's SOME life sentence you've described for those two. You simply can't be serious.

  It is just as legitimate for me to posit that during their incarceration these mini sub-humans attended a school for the higher learning of criminal behavior; that they became even more hardened in themselves; and that they are fully prepared for a life of continuing crime.

  These boy's personalities were formed and fixed, if we can believe the real experts, by the time they were three years old. And given the recidivism rate in any country you'd care to name, I fully expect that we'll be presented in future with additional grim stories about the doings of these evil monsters - very similar it seems to me to the (who was it? Cray?) brothers in the UK.

  Society has an absolute right to protect itself. In my opinion those two should never be free to mix in company with civilized society, even such as it is.

  And that's MY free opinion.

  so the son goes out and brings in the flock, because his heart was on obeying his father and he wanted to care about the same things his father cared about.

  IS THE WTS a PROVEN FRAUD?

  jw defenders often claim that those of us who left the wts are shipwreaked in our faith and have succumbed to apostate thinking.

  of course we challenge this with our knowledge of watch tower teaching and history, but they still fail to get the clue.

  they are caught in the mend-controlling of the watch tower and accept without facts in evidence the label placed on us of apostates.. what are the facts that prove the watch tower is a fraud?

  SHIT!

  Who has a copy of the WT Index? I don't, but when I had access to one, I looked up the word "prophet." My mother had made the insupportable claim that the JWs had never claimed to be prophets, and I refused to let it slide.

  Over her objections, I got our her own copy of the WT index, an old one published prior to the need for the Borg to cover up (lie about) what they had said about themselves.

  Sure enough, there it was, or rather there they were; lots of citations to the word "prophet." One of the red-handed quotes was in a WT study article and made the blatant, unambiguous claim that the WTBTS governing body "ACTS AS A PROPHET."

  My mother was silenced. Permanently. Silenced by the undeniable truth of the claim made by the Borg that it's a prophet. She's not supposed to be associating with me in the first place. And she certainly shouldn't be discussing the WT and its teachings with me. But rules, you know, they're for other people.

  Can someone who has an old index please look up "prophet" and find the cite referenced above?

  When one honestly examines the WTBTS and its history of doctrinal flip-flops, failed prophecies, fraudulent financial transactions, doctored histories, and policies that amount to accessory to outright murder, you'd expect the Society and its followers to produce reactions of utmost humility as opposed to the sheer arrogance and cynical, sneering hypocrisy as revealed in You Know's latest retreat from reality, above. Such flights from reality are known in the mental healthcare field as psychotic.

  As noted, religion is an emotional phenomena, the I.Q. of which is zero. And You Know again displays both his emotionalism and his I.Q. in the referenced post.

  A bible study? Me? Well... okay!

  i'm gearing up to get out of this protected, "inaccessible" apartment complex with its remote-cammed, sensor-driven gate and security patrol.

  i'm moving to a house.

  one in a residential neighborhood, with other houses around and a 7-11 on the corner and a mall a few blocks away and couples on saturday walking very slowly carrying bookbags.. i was reading roamingfeline's post, "do you know how to wait," in which she described an encounter with a new, nervous witness.

  I did have a reverse bible study, not once - but twice. One was with a womam from my congregation who didn't recognize me beneath the beard. It was a hoot. She finally retreated in horror when she discovered I had the goods on the WTBTS. I did the deed with the Malawi issue vs. the GB swearing an oath to the US gummint to get a passport to go to Malawi. It was great fun. So much fun that I used it again in a different town with a different set of JWs. Flummoxed them too. It's was great. Almost as good as a bl... well, you know.

  WTs new light on being anointed???

  just read this in the latest wt july 1st 2001 page 11 par#14:.

  "if we live according to god's word, we receive jehovah's holy spirit.".

  there ya have it.. all ya need is a bible, live it and your anointed.. they now determine who receives holy spirit.. wow!.

  SOoooooooo True.

  Anoint, btw, means "to apply oil to as a sacred rite, especially for consecration." And it also means "to choose by or as if by divine election."

  It was claimed above that Jesus wasn't "anointed" until he was 30. Shit. Jesus was BORN annointed.

  And my opinion is that on Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon ALL flesh. Everyone. All does mean everyone last time I looked. And it has been poured out on everyone all the time ever since. It's not reserved for any special person or group who have appointed themselves as being something special in the sight of the God who is not a respecter of persons. Those folk who belive that fable do nothing but blow smoke up their own asses.
