this would include children who died for refusing a blood transfusion or needed phychiatric care and commited suicide.

Depending on the WTBTS for an honest revelation of any kind of statistical data is frankly naive in the extreme.
These people are counting as "publishers" little children too young to understand what they are doing. Also they are counting as publishers people who get in their 15 minutes. God only knows what other slick practices they're pulling in order to appear to be growing. This group is just not honest, and it's never been.
Read through Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose and see if, during your reading, you hear the ring of the Bell of Truth even once.
There is so much documentation available regarding the basic dishonesty of this group that it takes a certain type of self-delusion to believe anything they say; a near-terminal case of cognitive dissonance.
I say the WTBTS was one of the models for the book How to Lie with Statistics.

Depression, Suicide, Abusive Parents
by kitties_and_horses_oh_my! inthis is my first time posting...i've been lurking for awhile.
i "faded away" in september and my mental health has greatly improved, although i still struggle with a somewhat-controlled eating disorder.
i have a long history of mental health problems, from the time i was about 20. i was raised "in the truth" and my parents were very emotionally/verbally abusive.

Your mother was textbook abusive, wasn't she? I'll bet she really gets into advanced retreating when you bring up the subject, doesn't she?
There is a great book out there that perhaps you may have heard of, perhaps not. It's title is Toxic Parents. I've read it a time or two, since my own parents - well - my family of origin was/is dysfunctional to the core. Anyway, I recommend that book and hope it does you well if you read it. Perhaps you can find one at far less than retail at half.com.

There was rumored to be a pamphlet authored by Da Judge and titled "I Will Survive This Cancer of the Rectum" but of course it was never released because the cancer wrecked 'um.
(Look, I've been working on finding a pun in Da Judge's manner of death for over a year now, and that's the best I've got. If you can do better, lets hear it. I'm tired of trying to pun on the Judges ass hole.)

Assembly fun....Final notes.
by integ ina couple of things i forgot to mention... -it would not be "wise" to have open bars at witness wedding receptions.. -dating non-witnesses like going to the morgue to find a mate.
(this was mentioned at the latest circuit assembly as well).. -there are "deplorable conditions" in christendom...not in jah's org.. -we reflect the glory of god by preaching.. -(this is a doosy, and an actual statement made by the speaker)..just as jesus was hated by the world, but was perfect, so too is jehovahs' organization.
(yes he actually said this).. -3:05 sat.

I lost my baby

tuesday 27th may 2003 at 12.30 am, i misscarried my first baby.
i was 9 weeks pregnant.

My daughter Rachel was pregnant a couple of summers ago when I took her to San Francisco for vacation. Just as we got back, she had pain and some bleeding and it turned out that she had an ectopic pregnancy and went straight into surgery. The doctors told us all that when a baby is miscarried, that is nature's way of voiding a child that has something terribly wrong with it.
She didn't take any phone calls for a couple of days. Then she waited for four months to begin trying again. Now she has delivered, in February, a beautiful baby boy - my first grandchild.
And I'd be willing to bet that you do the same thing. Although I'm very sorry your first pregnancy turned out as it did, when you start feeling badly about it, remember my little story and look forward to trying again and this time delivering your baby. I'll bet your mother's natural built-in love for her grandchild will over-ride the WTBTS's add-on rules.
Will be watching for your next announcement that you're preggers.

recommend a book
by DanTheMan inany book that you like.. i am particularly interested in reading some good non-fiction.. crisis of conscience tops my recommendations, i think it is one of the best books i've ever read.
but you don't have to recommend apostate books.. currently i am enjoying dale carnegie's how to win friends and influence people.
i am enjoying it and trying to take the advice to heart - namely, don't be so negative!.
